FAQs
Q: What do I do if the LEDs are not working on the ear cups or cat ears?
A: The LEDs are likely not powered on. Press the LED power button on the left ear cup. The button has an icon of a light bulb and is located at the back of the speaker when headphones are being worn.
Q: What do I do if the LEDs are flickering or not working?
A: If the LEDs are powered on, this behavior may be an indication of a low battery. Using a USB charger and supplied USB cable, charge the headphones for approximately 4 hours prior to use. Ensure that the device is powered off while charging.
Q: What do I do if the external speaker is working intermittently or is not functioning?
A: This is likely caused by one of the following:
- Connection issue: Check the connection at the headphone and the device (Phone/Tablet/Other) to ensure that the headphone cord is fully inserted into the plug.
- Cord is inserted into incorrect 3.5mm jack: There are two 3.5mm jacks on the headphone. While wearing the headphones, the control/headphone jack is the plug in the back of the L ear cup. The microphone jack is the plug in the front.
- External speakers are not powered on: Press the power button (with the speaker graphic). Use the volume '+' button until the sound is audible.
- Volume is too low: Use the volume '+' button to increase the volume of the headphones. The volume on the device (Phone/Tablet/Other) may need to be increased as well.
Q: What do I do if the ear cup speaker is working intermittently, is too quiet, or is not functioning?
A: This is likely caused by one of the following:
- Connection issue: Check the connection at the headphone and the device (Phone/Tablet/Other) to ensure that the headphone cord is fully inserted into the plug.
- Cord is inserted into incorrect 3.5mm jack: There are two 3.5mm jacks on the headphone. While wearing the headphones, the control/headphone jack is the plug in the back of the L ear cup. The microphone jack is the plug in the front.
Q: What do I do if the microphone is not functioning?
A: This is likely caused by one of the following:
- Connection issue: Check the connection at the headphone and the device (Phone/Tablet/Other) to ensure that the headphone cord is fully inserted into the plug.
- Cord is inserted into incorrect 3.5mm jack: There are two 3.5mm jacks on the headphone. While wearing the headphones, the microphone should be plugged into the front jack. The control/headphone jack is the plug in the back of the L ear cup.
- Incompatible device: Verify in the device user manual that the device (Phone/Tablet/Other) can support microphone use via a 3.5mm jack.
- Incorrect adapter/cord: The microphone signal is delivered through the control cable to the headphone. A standard 3.5mm stereo headphone cord will not work. The cable provided with the headphone must be used.
- Device Setting: Verify that the settings in the device’s audio settings menu has a 'Jack Mic' or '3.5mm Mic' setting and that it is selected as the default option.
Note: On a PC this setting is located in the 'Recording' Tab of the ‘Sound Properties’ menu.
Q: What do I do if the control cord is not functioning or responsive?
A: This is likely caused by one of the following:
- Connection issue: Check the connection at the headphone and the device (Phone/Tablet/Other) to ensure that the headphone cord is fully inserted into the plug.
- Incorrect Cord Orientation: Verify that the control cord is oriented so that the '+' button is closer to the headphone, with the control mechanism located closer to the headphone.
Note: The control box is not located at the center of the cord; to ensure proper function it should be plugged in such that the box is actually closer to the headphone.
