The perfect gift for the die hard baseball fan!
In June 1925, Lou Gehrig replaced Yankees First Baseman Wally Pipp in the line up.

Its a position he held for 2130 consecutive games. A model of consistency, The Iron Horse was named to seven All-Star teams and awarded the American League MVP award twice 1927 and 1936. Gehrigs freakish skills allowed him to hit for both power and average winning the Triple Crown in 1934 with a .363 average 49 HR and 165 RBI.

A six-time World Series Champion Gehrig was inducted into baseballs Hall of Fame in 1939. His number 4 is famously retired by the Yankees where he sits in second place behind Derek Jeter on the teams All-Time Career Hits list with 2721.

Lou Gehrig is one of the greatest players in MLB history. He was also part of one of the most touching moments ever to take place on a baseball field. On July 4, 1939, Gehrigs uniform number was retired making it the first player uniform number to be retired in baseball history. On that day, he also bid farewell to his many fans. This beautiful 8x10 plaque commemorates Gehrig's amazing legacy.
