Digital Active Noise Cancellation
Using 4 built-in microphones, ZIK listens to your surroundings and creates an acoustical “mirror” image, which cancels outside noises. You’ll experience the perfect, silent environment for music and calls.
Concert Hall Effect
When using a standard headset, your right ear only hears music coming from the right earphone and you left ear can only hear music from the left. To recreate true-to-life sound, ZIK uses a proprietary “Concert Hall” effect. Instead of hearing the music from the side, it makes you feel as though the sound is coming from directly in front as if you were listening to a live concert.
Downloadable Apps for iPhone® and Android® Devices
ZIK includes the Parrot Audio Suite, a unique and modern downloadable App for your iPhone or Android devices. Each App lets you adjust your audio settings and customize the soundscape for the particular music you’re listening to.
One-Touch Pairing via Bluetooth® Technology
Just touch your phone to the left earcup to pair NFC (near field communication) capable devices head with a crystal-clear Bluetooth® wireless connection. You can also connect to audio sources via a standard headphone cable (included).
Earpiece Touch Controls
Swipe the right ear cup up or down to change volume. Swipe forward or back to change tracks.
Senses Your Every Move
ZIK headphones have built-in motion detection that automatically pauses your music when you remove them from your head. ZIK also detects jaw movement (like when you’re on a phone call) and automatically adjusts its digital noise cancellation and volume for optimal call performance.

Not for the purist yet! Having used other wired noise canceling headphones within a similar price range I can assure you that the sound quality and noise reduction is equal or improved.
For me personally, not having to worry about the wire connected to the device is a huge freedom. No more running wire through shirt, jacket or disconnecting from the device by accident.
For the above mentioned freedom you will have to look past the occasional drop off of sound. Also, if you choose to pause the headphones by removing them from your head as opposed to simply tapping the ear, it can be a little quirky.
The phone functions work great great once you get use to speaking with the headphones over the ear.

I wore it for 4 or 5 hours at Chicago O'Hare terminal on a busy everning and then a 2 hour flight. I am Very noise sensitive. They worked great, but the weight of the thinnish bar on my head became a problem. And the weight of the ears will make them set down on your head as much as they can.

I love everything about this headset. The presentation and packaging are a welcome begining. Upon opening the box and getting the battery in, these headphones are not very heavy. Especially in comparison with some of those huge contemporary styles out these days. The ywere mostly charged out of the box only needeing abotu a half hour. Paired with my Iphone 4S immediately. Zik App is AWESOME and I already upgraded to firmware 1.01 I like the "Cristal" equalizer setting the best. Noise cancellation, from an average user (Non-Audiophile) perspective is AMAZING!! I can't hear anything nor the volume of my voice while using them. I still have yet to use them for a phone conversation, but I will soon enough. I am really impressed by these headphones. I think this is one of the smartest purchases I have ever. I got excited by all the hype, but it is properly justified! If a new version comes out in the future with updated hardware, I'd upgrade immediately. Very nice set of headphones, and the wave of the future!

everything about them is great, although ears hurt after a couple of hours. they lay on the ear, not over, it, I'll enjoy these when I need the noise blanking, for a short time, then switch to my over the ear blank-blank for comfort. just a tiny bit wider on the cups would work for me.

Staff Review: When Parrot first showed us the ZIK headphones, we knew we were seeing the future. The phones have incredible sound and active noise cancellation. I wore mine on the plane and it was like being at home listening to my stereo. The one-touch Bluetooth pairing was particularly cool. I'm still geeking out over being able to change the sound profile of the ZIKs using the App.
