I love the old fashioned design, soft glow and portability of these candlesticks. After the holidays I left one on a bookshelf with knick knacks and get compliments often. To save battery life I twist the bulb to the off position while we're away during the day. During the holidays though they were on the entire time on the window sills and did not require a battery change. I like the soft yellow/orange glow but when viewing from the exterior of the house during the holidays they were not as bright as I would have liked. Very happy with this purchase though.

I looked everywhere for a battery operated window candle with a timer that was well made. Finally, after 2 years I found this Brookstone product and am thrilled with the candles. They are attractive, substantial and the light is perfect!! Absolutely love them!! I'm ordering more!!
