Most tree mats are, at best, a layer of material between the tree stand and the floor. They look pretty, but all they do is keep spills next to your floor, leading to damage over time. I'm glad there's finally a functional alternative, that will truly protect your floors—it holds up to a gallon of water per square foot, so even when I water the tree in low light and water the mat instead, my floors will be ok!
