It is very asthetically appealing and I use this as a time-wasting toy.

Got these for my nephew and my son for Christmas; thought they would love battling each other with the tankbots and their iTouchs. My brother-in-law set up his son's tankbot fairly easily once the app was downloaded, but my son was not so lucky. In the unwrapping frenzy of Christmas morning, the box was thrown away for my son's tankbot. The code is ONLY written on the box! Therefore, my son has a tankbot that doesn't work. I realize that this was an oversight on our part, but I would have been so much happier if the code was on the actual toy, or at least printed on a piece of paper inside the box (there were no instructions). Brookstone was very apologetic and tried to find out if I could use a code from another box, but the codes are all different! This toy is fun, but DON'T THROW AWAY THE BOX!

Batteries came installed backwards causing confusion during syncing with iPod. Bought new batteries thinking that was issue then realized what the issue was. Spent a lot of unneccesry money on extra batteries when simple instructions could have been added letting us know to flip the batteries over.

Looked like it would be more fun in the catalog ad. Probably good only for very young children, who should not have the devices needed to control them in the first place.
Can't really rate them because they were an Xmas gift so have not seen them since, but doubt they are being used because they seemed too simple and boring for a "tweener"

Charged very quickly and was up and running, the app is okay, I use Android, but I prefer the autonomous mode. Runs around the desk making noises and flashing lights. Pretty nifty set of robotics for the cheap price!
