I wanted a flag pole that would keep the flag from tangling in a wind. This is a very creative design that works well. I thought I could assemble the pole and flag without reading the directions and first put the top clip through the flag's top grommet. DON'T DO THIS (as the written instructions also state). The two plastic rings that come with the pole have screws that go through the two grommets on the flag.

After initial purchase, the flag pole base snapped after 2 days without any excessive wind. Brookstone replaced it free of charge. Replacement snapped again after one month. The flag pole base is a cheap casting that is too thin for any meaningful outdoor use. This is the only Brookstone Product I have ever had a problem with. Do NOT buy this product!

A product that does what it claims. After years of untangling the flag every couple days this flag pole has virtually eliminated the need to do that. Had a $25 gets you $50 Groupon so it was a great value, too.

I thought the American Flag and tangle-free flag pole was a little pricey at first but I decided to go ahead with the purchase. I've purchased many items from Brookstone and have always been very pleased with the quality of their items. I would highly recommend this package to anyone who's thinking about it, you won't be sorry you did. The Flag itself is made out of weather resistant nylon and the colors are very vibrant. The top half of the pole where the Flag is attached rotates on ball bearings and no matter how windy it gets, the Flag always remains tangle-free. I hope this give you some insight on this package.

Don't bother getting the solar light- it is waste of money, as it is not strong enough, and the "tangle free" flag gets tangled on it.

I bought this flag pole a few years ago and it was never tangled free. Whenever it was windy out, the flag would get all twisted and sometimes the pole would fall off. I would not buy this again and waste my money.
