Originally a Kansas City Monarch in the Negro Leagues, Ernie Banks broke into Major League Baseball in 1953 with the Chicago Cubs. The Cubs' first African American player, Banks made Wrigley Field his home for the entirety of his MLB career—slamming 512 HR, driving in 1636 runs, appearing in 11 All-Star Games and winning 2 National League MVP Awards in 1958 and 1959. "Mr. Cub," as he is affectionately known, had his number 14 retired by Chicago and was elected into the Hall of Fame in 1977.

An MLB baseball hand signed on the sweet spot is perhaps the most coveted collectible in the industry. It is the foundation of sports collectibles and remains the most popular way to celebrate a player's career. This MLB baseball is hand signed by Banks on the sweet spot in blue ink, and inscribed Mr. Cub.

It comes complete with a Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity.
