Don Larsen's baseball career was forever defined on Oct. 8, 1956.
That day Larsen became the first and only player in MLB history to throw a perfect game during World Series play. Perfection took just 97 pitches and only went to a three-ball count once, as Larsen beat the Brooklyn Dodgers in Game 5 of the World Series. Don Larsen would win 1956 WS MVP honors, an accomplishment commemorated on this hand-signed MLB baseball with the inscription "1956 WS MVP."
