SUMMARY:

Reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer, this position provides strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation, implementation and coordination of the information and technology systems for Brookstone.

Responsible for the developing the information technology (IT) vision for the company. Management and Performance of the IT Department

Security includes PCI compliance and standard retail data security governance to protect customer data. First line of contact for help desk technical related store requests.

e-Commerce
Responsible for software development, up time, and security of the eCommerce Brookstone sites. This includes inventory, pricing, and sales feeds for all eCommerce related integrations to Brookstone core systems as well as sustained performance, planning, and future growth.

    Mine for potential new partnerships that will drive overall incremental revenue for the business and maintain high brand awareness among customer base. Finding potential partners that will allow us to tap into new verticals and explore new marketing technologies.
  • Test Marketing Vehicles
    Responsible for staying current on the latest trends and technologies in search marketing, recommending new vehicles or platforms, and testing new initiatives to drive profitability and gain early-mover advantage.
  • Support other eCommerce Marketing Programs
    Manage and/or support other eCommerce marketing programs as needed by the Director of Internet marketing.

Job: eCommerce Planning Specialist

This position is direct support to the Ecommerce and Marketing Planner in satisfying needs for all Ecommerce and Direct Marketing customer demand.

  • Maintain Ecometry status codes to coincide with the Retail and MO Island Pacific status codes. Monitor the drop ship to replenishment sku process, assist in coordinate group assignments, address inconsistent sku description nomenclature, maintain send sale flags, and verify accuracy of new item delivery report booklet/trifold introduction information.
  • Daily follow-up with the DC to manage backorder and inventory issues to ensure the highest level of customer service possible.
  • Active participant in the booklet / trifold process with respect to managing the sku list with the Merchandising Finance Team for inventory purchasing purposes.
  • Produce Weekly and Monthly Inventory Reports, i.e. Stock Availability and Back Order Reports.
  • Be a watchdog for systems integrity on inventory accuracy.

Job: Supply Chain Planner

Under the supervision and guidance of a Divisional Planning manager, this position is responsible for enabling all sales and gross margin plans (for a specific Department/Class assignment) across all Brookstone Operating Channels to include but not be limited to Retail Malls, Airports, Seasonal, e-Commerce/Catalog, Wholesale, and Corporate Sales. Operational functions that fall within this position’s span of control and/or influence include demand planning, financial planning, purchasing, import logistics, inventory planning, distribution planning, and allocations. This position directly supports up to $50MM in sales revenue, oversees up to $20MM in procurement spend. Financial results are to be achieved with accountability to assigned operating targets and in accordance with financial guidelines as measured by key performance metrics: Sales Plan Achievement, GM Plan Achievement, Stock Availability, Order Fillrates, Forecast Accuracy, Inventory Turns, GMROII, Inventory Aging, and Air Freight Expense.

This position will also support the entire Supply Chain Planning team with Ad-hoc analysis and projects in order to gain a solid understanding of the business as a whole and cause/effect of decisions and actions of the Supply Chain team on the entire company. This is a position created to help promote individual and team professional growth within the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

NOTE:Regular and reliable attendance is a basic requirement of this position.
  • Oversee, define, personally transact, and/or influence all manner of supply chain planning and related operational activities in support of fulfilling the inventory needs of Brookstone’s Mall, Airport, e-Commerce/Catalog, Seasonal, and Wholesale operating divisions. Ensure these duties and responsibilities are executed with the rigor and accuracy required to achieve Brookstone’s financial and operating goals in the areas of sales, gross margin, customer satisfaction, cashflow health, and expense management.

    Store Sales Manager
    • Responsible for managing one store.
    • Innovatively manages the Store by driving sales performance and controlling expenses.
    • Attracts and develops Store Management and Sales Associates who can successfully close sales with our Customers.
    • Previous retail management experience required, including responsibility for total Store operations.
    Assistant Store Sales Manager
    • Assists the Store Sales Manager in all aspects of managing the Store and driving sales performance as detailed above.
