I've purchased many earbuds, and I own two pair of Bose headsets (on-ear & over-ear). I have a decent understanding of good audio quality. As a frequent domestic and international traveler, I value noise cancelling/isolating earbuds with audiophile sound quality. I'm always searching for the 'next great earbud' that provides portability, excellent sound and durability. I've probably purchased no fewer than 20 high to low-end earbuds, and I currently made a purchase of a pair that were supposed to be "jammin'", if you know what I mean. I'm returning the Jamiacan earbuds, and I am staying with Brookstone's sound-isolating, plain vanilla earbuds. They deliver outstanding sound, they block ambient plane noise and nearby chatter, and they last forever. I now have three pair in each of my carry-on bags so I won't forget them. I'm done with searching for the "best" earbuds (stop reading the earbud reviews...their promises are never delivered). In my opinion, these are certainly the best I've ever heard and owned.

First off, this is probably the best pair of earbuds I have ever had. The sound is excellent. It is very comfortable and light weight. Truly an enjoyable experience!

Now for the bad part. Be warned this product is flimsy in construction. I have purchased three, again THREE of these earbuds and they always break from the same problem.(I keep buying them because I love them so much) One ear piece always goes out. This is because the cord can't take much abuse.

Best thing to do, reinforce the cord at the base and the earpieces. Better yet, the manufacturer could revisit the design, it's really a simple fix.

All in all, great earbuds, the best in every category, it's just easily breakable.

Bought these headphones because most others on the market are uncomfortable and my other headphones broke after 3 years of use. I have to admit that this product is comfortable, and the sound quality is fantastic. However after spending a fair penny on these, I expected them to last longer than 6 months.

The only time I use the headphones is at my computer. I do not move around much and I always take care of delicate tech gear like this. The design flaw seems to be in the molded plastic thing that connects the main wire to the 2 headphone wires. Move your head around, or stretch the wires at all and they will start to crackle before eventually braking.

I did enjoy the product, hence why I am sad that it did not last even a year. Not sure I'll be investing in another set of these again as I am not confident they will last me.

I really liked these headphones when I first got them and still would if they worked. My seatmate on a plne this weekend accidentally pulled them out and I guess must have done so badly because now they don't work. Only some instruments can be heard and it seems like this is caused by the wire that connects to the jack that then gets plugged in being a little loose. I get that these are not indestructible but it also wasn't Hulk Hogan in the seat next to me so these really shouldn't break that easily. They worked up until then and I commute with them daily so there really is no other explanation. I'm pretty annoyed that they are so flimsy. I had my original Apple iPod headphones for easily five years before they finally pooped out and they got much more wear and tear than these. Disappointed in the quality.

This is a GREAT product but, but BUY THE INSURANCE! The only flaw with this product is where the wire & the plug meet. This is it's Achilles heel. Mine last about 5-6 months (I always have an Ipod plugged into my ear), before the wire gives out & I loose sound in one ear. However, with the insurance, for the first year, I simply return it to the store & they hand me a new pair. After the year I return it through the mail to the company & they send a gift card to cover the cost of a new one. All I have to pay for is the insurance which runs $8.99 for the next 2 years. GREAT DEAL!!! I own 2 of these just for when I have to send one back to the manufacturer. I HATE being without it. The ear buds that come with the Ipod just don't fit into my ears properly. These are the MOST comfortable ear buds I have ever tried & the sound is OUTSTANDING!!!
