Solar cell powers 2 "AA" rechargeable alkaline batteries in the display. It also works with regular alkaline batteries with a flip of a switch if you prefer. High-efficiency modern solar panel maintains a full charge with minimal light and stores solar power for continuous operation. Receive wireless outdoor temperature up to 200 feet away, complete with MIN / MAX records (°Fahrenheit). Monitors indoor humidity and has low battery indicators on the sensor and display.
Temperature Range: 15.8°F to 139.8°F (Indoor), -39.2°F to 139.8°F (Outdoor TX62U-IT). Humidity Range: 20% to 95% RH.
