My husband wanted to be able to play my old records and have a place to store them. This model comes with the color to match our study as well as an enclosed cabinet to match. It fits well in our study and is a pleasant addition.

I love being able to play my old 45's and 33's. Wish there was a way to remove the scratches from the old records.

The Crosley Stack-o-matic was just what we wanted, a great little self-contained unit, with good sound for a normal to large sized room and great to use to play our old albums without using a turntable that adds another level to the CD/radio unit we have. (I tried the turntable route, and it didn't have the sound I wanted, even through our powerful stereo speakers.) We like the base to store our records and CDs in too.The drawbacks:-hard to see control settings for the CD/tape/turntable/radio, but you can get used to that by trial and error after a while, and-I tried to use the Crosley spindle to play our 45s just now and it was too wide for the 45s, so that they didn't drop down.[...].Great little unit in our oversized living room, even with our cathedral ceiling.
