I use this strap on my rolling toolbox for work. The problem is that I tighten the strap to hold my toolbox closed in the event the airport baggage screeners fail to latch it closed properly and after TSA opens the box to inspect it, they loosen the strap to make it easier to reaffix, negating the purpose of having a strap in the first place. I get my toolbox back and the strap is on there, but it's loose because the brain surgeons who work for TSA loosened it to make it easier to put back on. Inevitably they didn't latch the latches closed properly and the toolbox is open by as much as they loosened the strap, meaning some of my tools fall out onto the luggage carousel. This isn't an isolated case and has happened more times than not. Great idea for a product if only TSA could hire more intelligent baggage screeners...

These locking straps do a great job of making your bag stick out during baggage claim, they are easy to use(depending on how tight you want them). My only issue is that TSA won't put them back on after they have inspected your checked bags, you know, the random inspection that you have no idea happened until you find the "Notice of Baggage Inspection" in your luggage.We just returned from a overseas visit, TSA inspected our bags and now I am missing two straps. So now I have to make a claim to the TSA, not to Brookstone, because I don't have the "Cut" Straps.All in all, good stuff!
