You can find benches/picnic tables for less money. But, they will not have the multi-functional qualities of this item. If you buy two, you have benches, work space and a picnic table. I believe that the quality of this product will allow this item to last for a long time to come. Well worth the investment.

I've had two of these for at least three years and just love them. The flip mechanism could not be any easier----even my badly-retarded sister can do it). A single bench can be flipped and used as a small table for two in good weather, and a complete picnic table is easy to form using two benches, as they are quite lightweight. Although it would probably be best to cover the benches for the winter, since very high winds can overturn them, I have left them completely exposed to the elements in my backyard and they have not chipped or discolored. In fact the surface remains smooth and shiny, not like cheaper resin products that soon get dull and rough, so all they need is an occasional hosing and a bit of light scrubbing here and there. Very high quality product!
