These are the best going for the price. Stumbled on them at the airport on a last minute trip. Have since ordered extras via online. As good as the bigger name/bigger priced version.

This is my 2nd pair. I travel alot. The 1st pair I bought at the airport when I forgot mine at home. I loved them immediately. The sound is good and the retractible cord is a must for travelers. After about a year, the sound stopped working in one ear. I suspect it is from the thin wires needed for the recoil. I used to leave them plugged in to my ipod and they would flop back and forth probably weakening the connection. But you can't beat the portability of this product so I ordered a new pair!

Great set of headphones that store neatly. Only downside is that you really need to use the clip to keep the headphones from pulling down and minimize the noise caused by the cables rubbing against your clothes. Great sound and they eliminate a lot of the background noise.

Comfort and value, but cord is too short

Pros:

Very comfortable and better quality than others I've tried at the same price. However, the cord is too short and the retractable case adds weight to the cord that makes it virtually impossible to use these on a treadmill.

This is my fourth purchase -- two for myself and two as gifts. While they hardly compare to the Boise or other $100 plus headsets, they do a good job of isolating sound. I can use them in the gym and not have to listen to the gyms blaring rap music system. My complaint would be the product's durability. After a year of heavy use on airlines and at gym two of the units have had to be replaced. But a year's worth of use at that price I feel is worth it.

I purchased these headphones because I frequently carry my iPod with me between home and work and got tired of wrapping the cord around around. I got these headphones for just the retractable feature (which works well) and was pleasantly surprised with the level of noise canceling that they give.

I would've given a 5 out of 5 (best sound and comfort from ear buds i've ever had), BUT That retractable thing sucks, so i took it apart right away. Now they are just regular earbuds and are awesome and extremely lightweight. I've recommended these to several people. Great buy. So far they've been very durable. I've had them for more that 6 months now and have stepped on them, rolled over them with my chair at work, etc... and they haven't busted yet. Headphones and earbuds don't last too long with me. Also comfortable if you like to fall asleep to music.

Cons:

Best Uses:

I just bought these earbuds and the retractor is already broken. Now the cord just hangs loosely like any other earbud. That said, the sound quality is good and it reduces ambiant noise well, which is what I was hoping for. The only other negative is that the cord picks up sound - if you run your fingers along it or it rubs against your clothes than it sounds like you are running your hand over a microphone. Very annoying!

Love these. Very compact and good sound. The only thing that I find annoying, is the clip for your clothing isn't high enough for your collar or low enough for your pant top. May be that I'm short.

This is a wonderful set of ear buds. I have small ears, and most ear buds don't even fit in my ear. With these, the smallest size is perfect. I use it all the time, whenever I want to listen to music. However, the retractable holder is bothersome. It is heavy, and doesn't slide well, meaning you leave it where it is, and there is a big loop of wire just dangling there. Yes, you can remove it, but it is a one time thing. Once it comes of, it won't go back on. You basically break it. Mine broke while trying to slide it, and I just helped it along, and am happier for it. Now there is no clip on your shirt and it is much more comfortable. Plus, there is no cord dangling. Altogether, it has wonderful sound, I don't like the retractor, but am happy with them, and will buy them again.

The reviews for these headphones are all over the place. I am going to set it straight by letting everyone know that these headphones are very comfortable when worn for a long time (very rare for earbuds). They block ambient noise very well; I've used them on airplanes and can't hear a thing but what I am listening too. They sound great and have a surprising amount of bass. The cord holder is great, no more tangled wires. The cord holder can be slid along wire when wire is fully out (this keeps it from being an annoying thing dangling from the middle of the wire).

Good if you only have one ear!
By Yogini Laura from Tampa, FL on 11/16/2007
Pros:
Comfortable, Lightweight
Describe Yourself:
Exerciser, Meditator
These ear buds are extremely comfortable and do a good job of blocking ambient noise. I chose them because I have very small ears. I often use my iPod to listen to guided meditations before sleeping, and the iPod buds were absolutely painful if I fell asleep with them in.
However, after just one month of use the left channel now seems to have died, so I am going to return them for replacement.
Also, the retraction unit is rather heavy and awkward to deal with when I'm on the treadmill or doing other exercise. I would prefer it if it weren't there at all!

I loved the design of these buds when I found them: retractable cord, comfortable fit. However, I didn't use them often, kept them in a seperate pocket in my purse when I travelled with them, and less than a year later, I only have sound in one ear.

Reviews and Ratings - Headphones - Budsâ„¢ Sound-Isolating Earbud Headphones - Black By BHY
My experience
By BHY from NYC on 8/29/2007
Cons:
Flimsy Construction, Poor Sound
Best Uses:
Portable Devices, Running, Travel
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
The positives are that the item is very lightweight, compact and easy to carry. The cord retracts and it stores very easily.
The negatives are, the wired connections are a bit flimsy. My left ear presently does not always get a signal from my audio player, and I am not abusive with my equipment either.
The sound is a bit hollow. Turning up the volume is an option to correct this.
Overall, I have had better experiences with other brands, but for the price, the mobility is worthwhile if sound quality is not a big selling point for you. When it is working, that is.

Reviews and Ratings - Headphones - Budsâ„¢ Sound-Isolating Earbud Headphones - Black By Jet Setter
Good product, could be better
By Jet Setter from Portland, OR on 8/1/2007
Pros:
Comfortable, Rich Sound
Cons:
Cord too short, Heavy
Best Uses:
Portable Devices, Travel
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
The sound is great. I use these when I'm on an airplane, and it really blocks out the extra noise. My only complaints are; I'm tall 6'4" and the cord is just too short to pop my Ipod into my pocket and go. I either have to hold my Ipod or put it into my shirt pocket, neither of which I prefer. My second gripe is that the center piece clip/cord retractor is rather heavy, if you have the headphones in and the clip falls off (which seems frequent) you can expect the phones to follow.
