We previously traveled with a crank-powered LED light for emergencies. This is smaller, more convenient, and doesn't need to be recharged. It's great for hotel rooms or other unfamiliar surroundings, beats walking into walls or door jambs.

Great for travel. Bright LED light is useful in hotel rooms in the dark. Just wish you didn't have to take off the back to set the time (if in a different time zone) and set the alarm. Other than that I would highly recommend it.

It is great because is not heavy at all. The under light is very convenient when you are on the road. What is not so great about it is everytime that I travel, I have to set the local time.

I bought a clock in 05 and it failed less than a year later. The replacement clock has now failed as well.

This clock is perfect for travel because it is so compact. It is very easy to read and the alarm is a lot more pleasant to wake up to than other clocks I have had.

Ours is perfect. The one that I gave for a gift seems to always need new batteries. I think it has to do w/ the sensor not being on a flat surface, which will keep the sensor on and run the batteries.

To change the alarm time, you must open the battery compartment and use tiny switches. External switches for alarm off/on etc. are tiny and poorly designed. The clock is attractive and flashlight is nice but it very easily tips over. Here is what happens: you check the time by pushing the button on top, the alarm clock tips over, flashlight comes on and shines in your eyes.

this works great. I don't like any light when I sleep. When picked up,works like fashlight for quick trips to bathroom etc. It gives me the option to use when I want it. If
