Since my garage is under my house, we usually enter our house that way. My laundry area is also in the garage & so is the entrance to the playroom. I placed the rug at the bottom of the stairs which go right into the garage. The rug makes the area look so much more attractive & welcoming. Also, it is so easy to clean, which is especially important since it is right by the car when it is parked, & thus, the rug catches the dirt before we go upstairs. I appreciate the fact that the rug can be hosed down - this way I can just pull it out into the driveway if it gets particularly dirty. I do vacuum it regularly.
I have a rubber mat under it to cushion it on the concrete floor.
