I got it for my grandma. She loves it! She has rheumatoid arthritis and had problems with the small remotes. I bought another one for a Christmas present. Easy to set up and works well. Does not have to be aimed directly at the television to work.

It is big enough to not get lost but samll enough to be usable.

My mother-in-law has lost a lot of dexterity in her hands and fingers. This is the perfect remote to allow her to be able to turn her TV on and off and to change the channels. She was unable to do so with the standard size remote that comes with a television. I was surprised at how easy it was to program and I find myself using it instead of the regular remote.

lost owners manual and had to reprogram. went to the brookstone web site and got the owners manual. will definitely do more shopping at brookstone

I think it was a really good product. We've had a lot of fun with it. I couldn't get it to work with our VCR, but it works with pretty much everything else we have. It's a lot of fun. I recommend it.

This universal remote let me do away with 4 separate remote controls. It is easy to program, virtually impossible to lose and the backlighting makes it very functional in a dark environment, which I prefer for watching TV. Friends and neighbors have commented on its usefulness and a couple have ordered the item for use in their own homes. I believe anyone who tries it will be sold on its usefulness...and as a non-technical person, the ease in setting it up was greatly appreciated. Another fine example of useful items carried by Brookstone!!

This Super-Sized Remote was VERY easy to setup, works great with ALL of our different electronic devices, and doesn't get lost in the couch! I've run across one limitation, although not a surprising one ... the MENU key correctly calls up the MENU on our Cable Box, but I found no way to maneuver within the MENU. Otherwise, all features worked perfectly. This will serve wonderfully as a supplemental remote, allowing more than one person to control the the standard, most-used features.

We bought this unit for the members of our family who are approaching 90 years of age. The large button configuration means they can see what to press at a glance and they can press one button at a time easily. It's a simple idea, but a great replacement for the tiny buttons that come with most modern video equipment. It installed easily, too.

i have tried this on several tvs around the hose and only found 1 that didnt work with it. but over all this thing is great.

Not only is this easy to use and handle.But it lights up in the dark,so the most used functions are easy to find.

Easy to program for basic tv use. Not able to program with our dish network unit, maybe beacuse it uses infrared and this doesn't. Also unable to program to use with our Sony Blu ray. Too bad we really liked the size....

I have tried every code and every trick I can think of but it will no work with my Olevia. It does work with my cable box--although the "back" function does not work so it isn't even quite up to the task when a code does work. I wish Brookstone had an update page because perhaps they could supply new codes as they try to make it work with other units like my Olevia

Our remote was always lost. I bought this as a gag gift, but it turned out to be very useful since it never gets lost. Programs in just seconds and it is very easy to use.

My husband was always losing the remote controls. We needed 2 of them to operate the TV. Now it never gets lost, everything is on the one remote, and it was very easy to set-up.

This was a gift for my father. It's a good gift for the price and works fairly well. The only trouble he's had so far is the incompatibility with the Digital Video Recorder on his satellite, he still needs to have other remotes nearby to check programming.

This product would be just about perfect if it had a cursor button so that you could use it with DVD and cable TV menus. I can turn my DVD player on, but many of my disks require you to select "play" from a menu. This remote cannot accomodate that.

the only problem is that I have an older TV and would not connect with my DVD/VHS and TV together. It does turn on/off the TV and change channels etc, but not the other equipment.

It was even bigger than I expected, it was great. I got it for my husband that always cant find the regular clicker or my son carries it with him around the house. Now, he doesnt loose it and my son doesnt want to carry this around, too big for his little hands:)

Given as a gift to a person who has macular degeneration and can not read the numbers on regular remotes. This is givng him a small piece of freedom so he doesn't have to rely on others to change channels or start movies.

This remote is not easily lost. It's been dropped by the kids and stepped on by the dogs, and it still works. Very easy to program, but didn't have our cheapo DVD player and I didn't have the patience to go through number-by-number setup. We like this remote! I did see a similar product much cheapter at a local retail establishment, but I don't know if the quality would have been as good. Happy shopping!

Orignally bought for me as a gag gift to match my super-sized desk top calculator; this remote ended up running our entire entertainment center.

I haven't figured out how to use it to simulate every option on all the remotes for all the devices but it operates the basic options for all of them and makes it easy to just watch TV, Movies and listen to music.

Easy to set-up. Please note that this is indeed the BIGGEST remote that you could possibly buy. You have to laugh at it when you see it. My Granddaddy has a hard time seeing, yet he could easily operate this remote. I highly recommend it!

Even with multiple remotes, we also lose them--this one never gets lost. It works with the TV and VCR, which is most of the battle. Buttons are so big even the cat can shut off the TV!

My grandmother is 83 and VERY technically challenged. She was having trouble with the 3 remotes she uses for cable, dvd and vcr. She was always confused about which to use and when and the buttons were hard for her to see. This remote solved all those problems.

This product is great if you have arthritis or vision problems. However, it is bulky to hold in one hand, does not have all the features you might want, and it is easy to "accidentally" push an button without intending to.
