I got this for my husband for his birthday. He loves it, but there is no off button.During the off season you have to take the batteries out. We are big Patriots fans and we don't want to keep looking at the last game.

This is a great item for any sports fan, but I am a fan of all sports and I really wished they made one for all sports including basketball & college sports since I am a sports writer. It made it easy for me in football & baseball but what about the others? Limited to only two sports is the main reason I gave it 3 stars.

I got this for my boyfriend who loves keeping up with the sports scores, but it turned out he had absolutely no interest in this when he could just check the score on TV, the internet, the radio or even his cell phone. I didn't think about that I guess.

I bought this as a gift for my dad for Christmas, who loves football and loves gadgets. He likes this alright, but wishes it showed scores for the college bowl games since it's that season. Also, we haven't been able to find an "on/off" switch so it's been on since we've put the batteries in. The instructions indicate that it could take up to 6 hours to receive an update on the screen, but it's never taken more than two minutes for it to update itself...Overall I think it's an okay gift. He was surprised to find out what I paid for it and may be returning it for something more useful however.

I got this as a gift for my father who is a sports fanatic. He really liked everything about it except for one thing - you cannot turn it off. There is no off switch and I am not sure if it goes off on its own after football season is over or not. The instructions never mentioned it. Other than that it is a great gift. In fact, my dad was wondering if they made one for college football or basketball.

I'm very disappointed in the lack of information before i bought the sportscast.

This neat little gadget has only two flaws, it uses the Patriots in its advertising. It would be better served to use a team that has better family values - i.e. their current quarterback just had a child out of wedlock. Perhaps the Dolphins or Saints would be better. And the graphics are uninspiring. They look just like the newspaper.
BUT, that familiarity makes the information clear and concise. It's a fun and valuable resource and would make a great gift for anyone who is locked in the office all day and wants to take a glance at the scores or standings from the weekend.
I gave it a four out of five. Good work!
