This hairdryer is well designed and withstands the rigors of travel. It drys hair in a reasonable amount of time and leaves it shining. The only drawback is the noise - while it isn't terribly loud , it could be much quieter.

It is nice and compact. Lightweight. But it is LOUD. It folds up in the included bag which is nice for travel.

This is the only dryer I use and it's awesome for at-home or on-the-go. Very portable and makes short order of wet, unstyled hair.

This powerful, ionic hairdryer is the best!!! I no longer need to use a curling iron or smoothing iron to get great results. Wonderful for travel, light weight and small, and best of all, the only hair appliance needed to get the look I want.

This is the third of these hairdryers we've purchased - the second was for the guest bath, and as a backup if our primary one should quit suddenly, which it did recently. It's lightweight, quieter than most others, folds for travel, and has a button for "cool" air that my husband likes. My only complaint is that the on/off button broke and there was no way to repair it (and even so, this hairdryer has lasted longer than many others we've purchased). Hope Brookstone keeps making them!

this product folds up nice and compactly, which is good for home and travel. the ionic air leaves my hair soft and smooth, and thats a bonus! it isnt heavy and its nice to have the travel bag to keep it in. the low speed is not quite low enough for me and seems to be more like a medium. i wish there was a lower low for finishing. a retractable cord is the only improvement i could wish for. i would buy this dryer again.

I used dryer for the first time on a weeklong cruise. I borrowed it from my friend and I loved the compactness, light weight, powerfulness and smooth hair as a result of using it. Because of the price, I put off buying one till I absolutely needed a new dryer. I finally purchased one and loved it for a week and then it quit working, which I would not have expected to happen. I am now awaiting my replacement and have high hopes. I really loved using it on the cruise and fiqured I could just use it all the time. We'll see.

This is a fantastic little blow dryer. I replaced my $200 T3 with this little travel dryer strictly because I was looking for something that took up a little less space on my counter top. I use it on a daily basis. It works better and faster than my T3. It's got a lot of power and heat. It leaves my hair shiny and gives it body without being frizzy. It's a little louder than the T3 and the cool shot button could work a little better. Aside from those two things, I think it's perfect. I never fold it up so as to reduce any stress on the wiring and hopefully it will last me a long time.

The travel hair dryer is very light and compact, so it fits easily into your suitcase. It is powerful and dries hair quickly.

This will be my 3rd time purchasing this item. Everything is excellent about this ionic dryer. I take it on trips and use it daily. My first one lasted a year before it died on me and the second one lasted 6 months. So I'm back to buy my 3rd.....I just wish this dryer had a longer life. Otherwise, it does the job and its only $40. dollars. You get what you pay for.

I ordered this for an upcoming trip and was worried about the size and weight from the catalog but I think it will be great. I'm actually using it as my regular hairdryer because it is so quick to dry my hair which is very thick. I have also used it on my grandaughter's hair using the cool feature.

I bought this dryer and took it on a girls weekend trip with my sisters. On a whim, we all decided to get our haircut. The stylist used a similiar dryer and so my sisters all wanted to duplicate the styling tools. They all wanted to know where I got this lightweight, compact blowdryer. We all absolutely love how it folds up, has a diffuser attachment, hot and cold settings, and dries all types of hair without frizziness.

This hairdryer is lightweight, yet powerful. It's size is a wonderful asset while traveling. The ionic feature is a bonus and helps keep the beautiful shine in your hair. I would highly recommend this for both home and travel.

This hairdryer really helps reduce frizz out of my hair. My husband uses it on travel and at home.

this dryer works well and is quiet, but I don't recommend daily use, it just cannot handle use, it colapses in use after 6 months, now 1 month shy of 1yr and the power switch took a dump, I've had longer use out of a $20 dryer, not worth it for daily use, but if your just gonna use it for travel it should last much longer!!!

I use the hairdryer at home and for travel. It is a GREAT travel product! My previous hairdryer had separate heat & speed controls, with this dryer High speed=high heat etc. It would be nice to have separate controls but I imagine that is hard to provide on a travel size dryer. I am very happy with the hairdryer.

I LOVE this dryer. I discovered it in 2003 or 2004 and I am responsible for at least 8 other sales of this dryer because I have been a walking commercial for it for years. I have bought a couple of them as gifts and have talked friends into buying one for themselves and everyone loves it once they try it! It dries my hair SO quickly and I find that it makes it softer, smoother and shinier than when I use a different dryer.

This is my only dryer and I use it every other day when I wash my hair. I also use it now and then to dry my Golden-Lab after his shower! I took this dryer to Scotland and forgot to flip the voltage to the appropriate setting for Europe and fried it immediately. I had to RENT a crummy travel dryer from the hotel for 2 weeks! When I returned home, I went to Brookstone and explained what happened and they GRACIOUSLY replaced it for me!

It's been over 2.5 years since I've had my replacement dryer and this past week I've had my first problem. It won't run on the high setting (my favorite), so my husband dissected the dryer and saw that the wires at the pivot part of the dryer are broken. I'm going to take this back to Brookstone to ask if there is a warranty that will cover replacing it. I definitely have to have this dryer again but I think I should probably stop using it as my only dryer since opening and closing it wears out the wires.

All in all, I LOVE this dryer and still HIGHLY recommend it! It’s so affordable for what you get, too! Salon quality for a drugstore price! :)

Purchased the unit for international travel and it worked like a dream. Amaizing how much power was packed into this unit. Flipped the 240V switch and I was off and running in Germany! It truly did have as much power on 120V as it did on 240V. Only design flaw I could see was it would be nice if the handle had a button to push to collapse the handle rather than just push to close. While I have not had a problem with this feature I could see where this could be a problem over the years to come.

It's small and folds up even smaller!

I was looking for a travel ionic hair dryer and was thrilled to find one (and with the cool shot button) from [...]. I'm Canadian and have had to make two (yes, two) trips to buy this hair dryer twice.I've used this hair dryer in Europe and it was fine. Mostly I use it at the gym or whenever I need to travel.I love that detachable nozzle, and I love that it has the cool shot. It dries my hair pretty quickly. My hair is about waist length and quite thick. I can dry my hair in about 15 minutes with the dryer.It's definitely not cheap. At first I thought the hair dryer was almost worth its price. But then I took the hair dryer with me on a North American cruise ship. I had set the dryer to 125V, and the ship used 115V. All my other doodads requiring an outlet were fine.My first 10 minutes of use with the hair dryer were fine. I had turned it off, and then turned it on again, but it went POP and something smelled like it was burning. When I turned on the dry again, there was no more hot air coming out.RIP, hair dryer!

This is a very useful hair dryer. It is powerful and works wonderfully. I had no trouble changing the wattage on it and used it in Europe, while traveling, as well as at home. It folds compactly and comes with its own bag which is great. Only thing it needs is an electrical adapter to be able to plug it into the outlet.
