I've only used this once because the weather is still much too warm for heated towels, but I found it very easy to use and it did get my towel toasty warm! I can't wait to use this in the winter!

The product has a "plastic" smell when heating for the first couple of weeks and then eventually goes away. It handles both regular and oversized towels. Time your shower and/or bath by the 8 minute heat up time or the towel can tend to cool down too much.

I kept missing this item so when it was in stock I bought 2. I can't wait to give the second one as a gift. It is compact and easy to use. Does everything it says. I always feel pampered in warm robes and towels. Now I don't have to go to the laundry room to warm them in the dryer!

I use the towel spa to heat up neck, foot, and hand warmers. These warmers are made of materials that can be heated in the microwave(I always had to clean it first). The towel spa will even heat my spa blanket. Since it is large, I have to use two cycles, and I turn the blanket over after the first cycle.
The spa gets really hot (like an iron), so I would NEVER use this machine around children of any kind, maybe not even teenagers.

This unit is small, fits easily in your bathroom. I use it every time I take a shower and to warm socks at night before I go to bed. Before I get in the shower drop it in, push a button, and when I'm done, I have a warm towel that feels like it just came out of the dryer. I definitely recommend this product and am considering buying another unit for our other bathroom.

This warmer is a great idea. I liked the design better than the european towel warming racks that you see in some hotels. No installation necessary, portable. It works good, and seems to be well made. However, it's too small. I was surprised when it arrived, because for the price, I was expecting it to be much bigger. It's about the size of a small cooler. A much larger sized warmer offered at the same price would be ideal. If it were bigger I would have no problem recommending it to others.

OK--this was a unique use for the Towel Spa and the Towel Spa was a little high-end and expensive for what we needed. Still we have found nothing that worked better to keep our small towels warm during the puppy whelping process. We use hand towel-sized or car detailing towels during whelping and a warm towel is a must. This easily holds enough small towels for two puppies. We simply refill between births. We would recommend this to any high-end breeder that wants the best for their newly whelped puppies.

The only concern is bacteria if the items you place in the unit are not clean. This is not a concern for the stand up models; however, the stand up models take more space, do not dry or warm towels well and stay on until shut off. I have the stand up model too and always worry about it catching fire. I do not have that worry with this product.

It does a really good job but would be nice if it fit 2 towels instead of one. It does smell a bit. I am not sure if that is due to the fact that it is new. Hopefully the smell will go away.

We envisioned using this warmer on a daily basis for both myself and Wife. We also wanted to use it for warming towels for our small dog, after baths.
We are almost better off going back to using the clothes dryer to do this.
If you put 2 avg. size bath towels in warmer, they fit to tight to be uniformly warmed.
Strongly suggest that Manufacturer be encouraged to increase capacity by half.

We LOVED the warm towel racks in Europe, but the ones we found here didn't work for us. The Towel Warmer is GREAT ! I love to get out of the shower to a warm towel (then I pop in my robe, while I towel off). Key is to fold the towel in such a way to avoid the hot spots.

This is my second review. My first did not show up, which is a bummer because I could have saved all the people who, like me, thought it was larger. It is a small, table-top appliance, about the size of a small bathroom trashcan. It will only do one large fluffy towel, and only a bathrobe if it is a t-shirt material bathrobe. My kids love it, but it does create hot spots, so use with caution with babies or small children. It also has a break in period with a funny metallic smell which goes into the towel. Eventually this wears off.

Nothing better than a warm towel on a cold morning! The Towel Spa works better that the towel wamer rack styles. The whole towel is warm and ready to go by the time the shower is done.

This product does a great job at warming the towels. They come out evenly heated. I do wish it was big enough to hold two towels or you could warm one towel right after another. The cool down time is long so heating one towel after the other doesn't work either.

I had already owned a permanently installed, bathroom towel heater (built-in, electrically heats oil inside chrome tubes) costing several hundreds of dollars and this Brookstone Towel Spa on a SINGLE-towel-at-a-time is FAR more effective and is easily transportable. The heating is not localized like the professional chrome tube unit, but rather "soaks" the ENTIRE towel throughout; far more effective than most built-in towel heaters!! The only towel heater I've seen that's more effective are the medical-grade towel/blanket heaters in hospitals, costing approximately [$] (although those can handle sevral towels at a time). At approximately [$], this is a bargain.The Towel Spa IS properly equipped with an LCDI (leakage current detection interrupter, as on new handheld hair dryers) plug for wet-area safety, even if your older bathroom does not have GFCI receptacles (ground-fault circuit interrupter, outlets with 2 pushbuttons to prevent lethal shocks to ground). This Towel Spa nonetheless MUST NOT be immersed in use or for cleaning. CAUTION: The interior DOES get very hot (there are warning lights for both "ON" and interior residual heat still present), so this unit is NOT suitable for young children or memory-impaired elderly!! Also, you cannot use the Towel Spa with polyester towels or robes. Children or memory-impaired elderly typically do not read the towel's or robe's fabric content labels. Polyester WILL singe.

I was really excited to get this product and to see if it worked well. The compartment is plenty big enough for our towels, which are plush. I've also put a napping size blanket in it that fit without a problem. The heat up time is reasonable and the towel will stay warm for a good bit after it's done heating up. Everyone loves this! Even my husband, who said he doubted he would use it, is now heating up his clothes to put on after his shower also! (warm underwear are nice, he says..lol)

I would have given this five stars except the On button seems to be touchy. On my unit, I have to press it several times before it will catch and turn on and I worry that might be a defect and I will have to send it back. That really is the only potential problem. I've waited a long time for something like this for a small bathroom where it often takes awhile for a towel to dry. Not with this baby!! Definately recommend.

Towels are very warm. We had a towel rack and this is 10 x warmer. Also gave this as a gift to grandparents with circulation problems and arthritis. They love getting out of the tub and having a nice hot towel. Had an odor when it first heated up but now that odor has gone. Also I do wish it was larger, but for the money, it is fantastic.

I purchased two towel spas as gifts for my brother and my sister at Christmas. My brother loves the towel spa. He has a Steam Room in his home and says it's fantastic to come out of the steam into a warm towel. The towel spa is so compact that it can be used in vitually any size bath area.

Love the product. Hope the funny smell wears off with time and use. Previous people have said it is great for babies. I would be weary, as the towels definitely get very hot in spots. Wish it were larger. It is a stretch for a large fluffy towel or robe, sometimes we have to leave the lid open.

My husband and I use the towel warmer every morning since we recieved it. We use oversized towels and they fit into the unit perfectly. The towels are very warm when you first pull them out so for small kids you may have to watch the tempurature. Very compact unit so it fit in well to our bathroom and does not take up much room.
