You can add your own items and make up different list, such as camping items, travel items, etc.
Saves money on gas as you don't have to return to store for forgotten item.

I gave this to my husband for his Birthday. He loves to grocery shop and that is fine with me. The list he made to shop were not so great. This lists everything in the proper order and we have yet to find a word that is not in it. We both love it and it keeps you organized.

We love the product, and use it all of the time. The only negative is that it takes a little time to get used to calling some of the items by the name that it recognizes. You can customize it, but you have to do that with each item that is different.

I was always forgetting to put things on my list, or my husband would yell as I went out the door "we are out of ??" and I would forget it and have go back to the store later. Now he can just talk into the SmartShopper and not blame me for forgetting the product!!. I also entered my own items that I would need for camping or airline travel, and just print out that list to check off when packing. I am getting two more to give as christmas gifts. The voice recognition is a little touchy but you can retrain it on words that you are having difficulty with.

It was everything I needed and more..except the writting on the print out is very small. But besides that love it, it categorizes perfectly...love it.

makes life much easier....even the kids use it. altho, sometimes it gets frustrating when an item that it knows isnt displayed properly (you tell it "beer" and it lists "dog food").

id say 90% of the time it gets it right.

I purchased this as a Father's Day Gift for my husband who is a gadget fanatic. He also likes to do the grocery shopping. We found it difficult to sit down and come up with a list on Saturday morning without forgetting something. We posted a notepad on the fridge with the intention of keeping a list going and still did not write things down until it was time to shop.

I was a little concerned that since we did not take the time to write things down on the notepad we would also not "add" things to the shopper, but that has not been the case at all. We have also used it to flag coupons for items.

I even caught my 4-year-old son on a chair this morning pushing the button and saying, "eggs" into it!

I had read several reviews with concerns regarding the voice recognition, but we have learned pretty quickly how to speak (don't try so hard!) and have only had to look up a handful of items in the dictionary.

This is a GREAT product! We love it and would recommend it to any busy household searching for any way to save time and organize errands and grocery shopping.

This item is absoultely fantastic. I use it every day, and my life has become so much more efficient with it's use. However, adding customized items, can be a little tricky, requiring some repetition, but once you get the hang of it, it's fine.

The whole family uses this product. It stays in our kitchen and is a great reminder to record when we run out of a grocery item. We also use it during the week to remind us of errands on the weekend. We love to press the print button and be out the door.

I BOUGHT THIS FOR MYSELF & ONE FOR MY MOTHER ON MOTHER'S DAY. SHE LOVES GADGETS BUT IS NOT COMPUTER LITERATE AND SHE WAS ABLE TO HANDLE THIS WITH EASE. YOU LITERALLY DO NOT EVEN HAVE TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS TO USE THIS IT IS THAT EASY. SO USEFUL TOO. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU, BUT I WAS CONSTANTLY LOOKING FOR "THE LIST" BECAUSE SOMEONE HAD MOVED IT OR IT HAD FALLEN OFF THE FRIDGE OR SOMETHING. I HAD TRIED EVERYTHING AND NOTHING WORKED AND I WAS ALWAYS FORGETTING SOMETHING. NOT ANYMORE! I'M SAVED! YOU CAN EVEN ENTER YOUR ERRANDS THAT YOU NEED TO RUN LIKE GO TO THE BANK, OR PICK UP MEDS, AND ENTER SPECIALTY FOODS THAT YOU LIKE. THIS THING IS AMAZING AND WELL WORTH THE MONEY. This organizer is a snap to set up. It's magnetic, so I keep it on my fridge door (where my old paper list used to hang). Just push one button and say what item you'd like to add. When you're ready to go to the store, just hit "Print". The voice recognition has a small learning curve, but you can add your own words which makes it a lot easier. Overall, an utstanding product.

Bought this for my dad who has hand tremors making writing difficult. He could not read his own lists. This is GREAT. He just says what he needs, prints it out and off he goes to the store and errands. A bonus is that it organizes the list into categories as well.
This is also great for busy moms like me who can never find paper when I notice I am running low on something. I just record what I need and it is there!

Only complaint is that it doesn't always recognize the words and they have to be repeated

I love this grocery assistant! I am busy every minute it seems and when I think of something we need I forget about it by the time I get to sit down and write out a list. The assistant is so nice because as I see something missing out of the fridge or pantry, I just talk into my assistant and save the item. It recongnized my voice and my husbands with no problem. It only doesn't recognize what you are saying if there a lot of background noise. No more scratching adding and squeezing in my items on the paper list that you can't read by the time I go shopping! This prints out the organized neat list for you just like that! It's just a little slow, but that is not a problem when I think of the time and frustration I go through when trying to get a neat organized complete list written down. I recommend this to all shoppers!

Very handy and is alot easier to use than writing it down on a piece of paper!

Just get it! If it doesnt already know what you want, you can literally speak to it to tell it to add an item to its database! So easy and PERFECT for familys and would have been great for me when I was a single guy as well!

I bought this gift for my mom's birthday. She is always making lists and I thought this gadget would be perfect. I was right...it was. She now has one long list she can keep track of instead of many tiny lists that tend to get lost. The voice recoginition is great for kitchen/pantry items.

I love this product! My time is very precious and demanding, so I need this "secretary" to bring order. I like the ability to customize it to suit my needs. You can add any type of product that you use or any store in which you shop.

The voice recognition sometimes isn't so great, but I generally can get it to work right.

The print function doesn't always print right away. Sometimes I have to open and shut the battery housing.

I would recommend this - but would let people know the problems I have had.

I rec'd the SmartShopper as a gift. Now secured to my refrigerator, my grocery/errand list is always available. As soon as you know an item is needed, press, speak and it's on the list. After shopping, it's great to see if you've forgotten anything. Easy to clear and start over. I really like it. K.A.

I love that I can add items! I wish I could modify existing items. I received this as a Christmas gift and I brag about it all the time!!

This is absolutely one of the coolest gadgets I have ever bought. I love it! I just say what I want, and there it is. I can highlight the item, hit select and click on whether or not I have a coupon for it. I can highlight item, and select quanity and change the quanity like from 1 to 50, if I wanted. This thing has just about everything you can think of in the library already. If not in library, you can just add your own items to the library. You can add errands you need to run, too. When you are ready to go, just hit print and it prints out your list, catorgorized!! Getting one for my Mom for her birthday. Co-worker saw mine, and is getting one for his wife. Just too, too cool!!!

This is the best thing I have ever owned! It makes our lives easier. It has every food item imaginable, but if it doesn't have one, you can add it with your voice! I would refer it to EVERYONE! Every single house needs this item.

This is a great way to easily organize your shopping but it is very tempermental about voice recognition. You sometimes have to repeat yourself until you are ready to throw the thing out the window before it understands your voice command. If you can look past that, however, it is a wonderful technological tool!

Once you learn how to "speak to" this machine you will love the convenience of adding items as you think of them. It will even organize your list into categories,and add your errands as well. Simply tear off your sheet and off you go. No more saying" I forgot the..."

This certainly gets rid of all those sticky notes! Simply speak into the unit whenever you think of something you need. A great purchase that I will use on a daily basis!!

This is one of the greatest gifts I've ever received. It is so easy to use and at the push of a button you tell the machine what you need and when you are done just push the button and it prints out your list so shopping is easy. This device has everything preprogrammed with specific items that you need at the store. I can't imagine going shopping without it.

This item should be in every home! Instead of losing small lists all over the house, now immediately when you run out of something, you stop and say it and it is immediately on your list. It makes running out of an item fun. Then your trips for your errands and to the grocery is all printed out for you and you don't forget anything while out! LOVE IT! WISH I WOULD HAVE HAD IT SOONER!

A bit pricy, but awesome to own. If entering a large name, the unit accepts it ok, however when choosing it for the shopping list, it will lock up the unit and you can not reset it. I had to exchange my unit twice due to this problem. After speaking with a rep, her's locked up as well....something that they were not aware of and hopefully they will address this problem.

The one complaint I have about the product is that it would be nice if it erased the list after you print but you then have to go through every item and erase it.
