This opener is very classy-looking (I have the one in Merlot) and makes wine-opening a breeze! I have to admit it took me one or two tries to get the "action" right but have had no problems since. Very heavy duty, and also easily "ejects" the cork from the opener.

I tried this at a friend's house and was impressed by how easily it opened wine bottles. Gave it as a gift to my father, who loves it. I had previously given him an Arcosteel opener, which worked ok at first, but became very stubborn. I am interested to see how this holds up over time.

This is the second one of these I own. The first was a gift and I loved it so much I bought a second one for our lake house. It works great, easy to use and very attractive. I own the copper one and the merlot one and both are very attractive. Have had no problems with them.

Used at son's home & thought it was great. Have a W. Puck copy of the Rabbit - Brookstone device is much faster and much easier. You do not have to lower bottle in order to get strength to pull cork.

I have used it several times. It is fairly light weight and is compact enough to take on trips. It works very well in quickly removing the cork. The only problem and the reason for the 4 star is that it doesn't always go to the bottom of the cork so that you still have to tug a bit to get the cork out.

There is nothing more disappointing than having cork pieces drop into a bottle of wine. With this nifty opener, that is a thing of the past! It makes opening a bottle of wine way too easy. No more putting the bottle between your legs, trying to screw in those horribly cheap wine corks, and then pulling it out (all in front of guests). I absolutely love this thing! Makes a GREAT gift!

I've used many openers over the years and have always reverted back to my small waiter style corkscrew (purchased 30 years ago during my waitressing days). This is the first, other than that, that I found easy and quick to use. I didn't need to read instructions, it was just "hold, push, pull" and I was finished. Love it!

It took a while to figure out how to make it grab the cork correctly. Also, when you unscrew the cork from the unit, it doesn't hold it so it falls on the floor or counter. I preferred my Rabbit
It does look nice and it fits in the drawer well.
