Then you have to ruin it on a george foreman or in the oven to finish cooking it. To avoid that situation get this guage or always have a spare propane tank on hand. The only negative is that since gas pressure is a function of outside temperature, it has three levels of readings based on weather it's warm, cold, or very cold. This can lead to some false readings if your defination of cold is different than theirs. Overall a good product.
