I have used it camping and to look underneath my car in daylight to check for leaks, etc.

While plugged in, the light has a soft, red glow to show it is charging.

The light will only charge in a receptacle that takes a cigarette lighter. Most new cars have only one power outlet like this -- the rest are larger around for DVD's, radar detectors, etc.

This flashlight is an excellent idea. It easily fits into my cigarette lighter, and I keep it there for emergencies. The light is super bright too, and the battery life is amazingly long. I would recommend that everyone have one of these in their car.

Very compact and bright, but its so compact that it doesn't fit well in my truck's power outlets. An adjustment shim, or different version for newer vehicles would be nice.

This is a great little light with lots of power. The only thing we were disappointed in was that it didn't charge in our 2008 Honda Civic. Our Lexus RX330 charged it without a problem. I carry this flashlight on walks and it provides plenty of light. Highly recommend.

Great quality and much handier than keeping a flashlight in the glove box. No more worries about changing batteries. The small size of the light makes it very handy for looking into tight places (working under the dashboard, etc.). I ended up ordering one for each of my family members for Christmas stocking stuffers.

I gave this a Christmas gift. The recipient loved it. He immediately took it out of the box and turned it on. I didn't expect it to have a charge right out of the box, but it did. It is definitely a bright light and very compact. I'm going to have to buy a few more for gifts for next Christmas and one for myself.

I got this flashlight for Christmas and I love it! I can take it with me anywhere and be assured of having a bright light handy if need be. I'm one of those "be prepared for anything" sort of folks. I plan to buy myself more and give them as gifts. :-)

Be aware, this item will only work in a lighter outlet, not the accessory outlet. I bought it for my wife, but her 4Runner doesn't have a lighter in it. Since it was useless to her, I put it in the lighter socket in my truck and it works great.

Charging this flashlight requires your car to have cigarette lighter plug, NOT the charging plugs available in most newer cars.

Bought 3 of them, opened them Christmas day and only one worked. They don't tell you until you open the box that they only fit certain model cars and trucks. We own 2 chevys and one chrysler, it fits the lighter in the chrysler but neither of the chevys. Before you buy one be sure to open the box at the store to make sure it works in you're car or truck, was very disappointed...

This light is amazingly bright and is great for searching behind the seat in my extra-cab truck. Although it is a little loose in my accessory socket, it works well in my cigarette lighter socket. Next, I'm going to get extras for my wife (good stocking item for Christmas) and for the 2 guys at work with trucks.

This light is really handy and bright. Last summer I used it on a hike in Yosemite when I forgot to bring another flashlight. It helped me and two other hikers get down a mountain in the dark. It's combination of size, brightness and battery life is amazing.

This flashlight is extremely easy to use. Just plug it into your cigarette lighter and forget about it. Charge lasts unbelievably long, and the led is brighter than my maglite. Excellent holiday gift.

I live in the boonies, so I have a flashlight in every car and just about every room in the house. This is the perfect little on-the-go flashlight. It’s nice and bright, never needs replacement batteries, and the charge lasts for a good long while.
