Mobile sound system I carry to my different workplaces. I use my ipod nano or iphone 3G S with it. Would travel with it but for the main con.

Main con: Does not have cradle for my ipod video. My fault.. I missed that was not included in the list.
Cannot adjust sound via the ipod as I can do with all my other speakers. So you are limited to the step volume button changes of the unit. At work, this limits me to either just a little too loud or just a little too soft!! No perfect volume.

Pros: Charges iPod / Iphone too
Compact Lightweight
Easy to use
Plays music, average sound quality.
Easily portable
Uses both AC and battery power

We bought this for an iPod dock so for camping. Love the design and simplicity, but that is where it ends. Unfortunately, this will be returned before it really gets tested on battery life and other features.

The first problem you will find is that it easily falls over. So if you have it on a level stable surface all time it will be fine. Just don't bump it or it will fall.

The second problem is the volume controls do not work very well. Press once to lower the volume slightly and it turns it off. Press to raise the volume and it jumps to too loud of a setting. Playing around with them long enough eventually gets to an acceptable volume. Perhaps this unit is broken, but it was very frustrating trying to adjust the volume and enough for me to give it a one star.

In my limited usage, the sound quality seemed OK for what this is. You cannot expect phenomenal sound from a unit like this.

I upgraded from an 8GB to a 32GB iTouch 2G only to discover that most of my accessories aren't compatable. I was absolutely thrilled to see that the iDesign was not only compatible with my new iPod but able to support all my other iPods. The "Flip" design is wonderful and the sound quality is suprisingly good. Maybe iDesign should think about making a sturdier model, possibly out of aluminium. This product is a MUST for any iTouch or iPhone users.

A great idea spoiled by a bad feature. These speakers automatically turn off if the speakers are not in use for 5 min. The mechanism to detect this doesn't work properly. Even if it is plugged in. I hooked up my iPhone to this device (with power) and every 5 minutes the sound would stop playing. Who in their right mind would have thought of this feature? Reluctantly had to return it. Great portable speakers otherwise.

This is a very sleek unit, sound is good
but as I travel a great deal, I use my
ipod as an alarm clock. The problem I have
is that the sound dock will go to sleep and
not wake up when the alarm goes off.
Not a good thing, if I could change that
