This is truly a great gift! I have seen other digital ornaments in the stores for half the price, but they are not as attractive as this one. The only downfall is that the directions for downloading the pictures are a little difficult, especially if you are downloading from a MAC and not a PC.

I bought this for my grandparents since I won't be able to make it home for Christmas. Before wrapping it up and shipping it to them, I hooked it up to my laptop to add some pictures. It was so easy to add pictures, crop them, and get everything setup for when they opened it!

This ornament looks like metal on the website, but it's really plastic, and a bit cheaper looking than I anticipated. Also, the resolution is only good for pictures with less detail. If you try to put a photo with a few people in it, it's impossible to see faces. It comes off very pixel-y. The representation of the photos on the website is NOTHING like what the actual screen looks like.
The software for loading photos was pretty straight forward. I have a Mac, and you had to select each picture one at a time, however, and it was a bit time consuming. Don't know if it's the same for Windows.
I guess you get what you pay for, but I'm sure glad I got it for the sale price and not the original price. For that price, I would've probably sent it back.
Do I recommend it? It's hard to say. It was a bit disappointing, to tell you the truth. I intend to give the person I'm giving it to a CD with the photos I put on it, so they can actually see the pictures well.

Great Christmas gift! Very nice looking and easy to use. Only thing that the description does not mention is that to recharge the battery you have to hook it up to a computer with the included USB cable. That's fine for me, but the gift is going to Grandparents who don't have a computer so they won't be able to recharge it. I will just have to bring my laptop over to charge it every now and then. As long as the person who the ornament is going too has a computer then it's fine and a wonderful gift. The discounted price for this item was just perfect!!!!!
