I have had a top of the line down comforter for years. The down side to down is that the down somehow "seeps" out of the baffles. I was hesitant to change comforters, for down does keep you warm in winter, cool in summer. This comforter from Brookstone has not let me "down". I am very pleased with this comforter. No more little "dusty bunnies of down" under my bed. I would recommed this product to anyone who wants a fabulous, top of the line comforter.

Had this comforter for a year now. Gave an excellent review at first. Was very nice & soft in the beginning but after a couple months, a few stitches started to come off with strings hanging off the comforter. The filling were shifted everywhere. Warning: Do not wash this in a regular older brand washer or else it will rip off the fabric once you pull it out. Had to sew mines after that happened.

Much larger than other comforters we have (probably fit an oversized pillow-top well).

Even with the room temperature about 60 degrees, this comforter was too warm for me.

We love this comforter. It's very warm, but doesn't weigh a ton like most comforters do. I washed it in my front loading washer and hung it on a rack to dry. It air dried pretty quickly. A good value.

This is a great comforter for the *sale price of [$] for a Queen. I wouldnt pay full price. It is incredibly warm considering how thin and lightweight. I would caution washing. I have owned 2. The first one was ruined by washing...bunched up and left bald spots. The second one was washed once and the insulation started coming out! I would suggest dry cleaning.

I loved the blanket the first night i slept with it. The next night wasnt so great! I was told that the blanket was hypoallerginic but i woke up with hives all over my body. I thought it was something i ate so i went to the doctor. Anyways.. it was the blanket! So my boyfriend gets to sleep with my new, soft, blanket while i get to sleep with an old cotton blanket!!

Brookstone's quality is always dependable, and the modest price makes this comforter a superb value. I hadn't noticed in the description that the cover is microfiber and so was surprised (and delighted) with the velvety smooth soft texture. It is so lofty, like sleeping in the clouds, and warm as can be without weight. It makes me feel pampered. I really couldn't be happier with this purchase. I recommend it with no reservations.

This is a very soft and comfortable item. It looks nice and best of all, is machine washable. We really like how each square of material is sewn shut so the filling doesn't move around in the comforter.

I bought one of these based on the price. It seemed like a good deal for the money. After using it for a few weeks, I went back and picked up a few more. We keep our house cool at night and this was perfect for staying toasty warm.

The comforter comes in white - we were worried about keeping it clean, so we picked up duvet covers for them. That makes the white comforter a non-issue, since the duvet cover comes in any style we want.

The squares keep it from bunching, the quality is superb, beyond soft, the price is UNREAL. I purchased 3: 1 for guest room, 1 for our bed, and 1 for when ours needs to be cleaned. Just like ANY massive 'down' type comforter, it's going to be a pain to clean but I may just bring it to the cleaners. Not sure. Thankfully it was so inexpensive that I don't care. I am THRILLED. OH! And, this is the first time EVER in 12 years of marriage that my husband and I can share a comforter without feeling like we don't have enough on each side. It's HUGE! :) :) :)

We own three cats and one of them urinated on it slightly after we started using it. I hoped that the packaging claim that it was easy to wash was true. And it was. It puffed up nicely after drying and it was clean and smelled great.

This is a great comforter -- warm and soft. Some people might think it's on the heavy side, but I like it because it makes me feel toasty. I got it when it was on sale and it's totally worth every penny! A must have for winter -- it helps me cut down my heater bill. I haven't had the chance to wash it yet. Hopefully it'll clean easy.

I used to sleep with 3 comforters on my bed to stay warm. The weight of them would keep me from rolling at night, which would then cause me to wake up all the time to lift them. My mom got me this for christmas this year and I love it. I slept forever.... set an alarm people because you will too. It was so warm and yet not too warm. I did not feel the need to adjust anything. I just slept. Best gift you could give anyone. Love, love, love - it.

I bought this for my husband as a Christmas present. He is an EMT and firefighter and gets extremely chilled this time of year. It takes the rest of the night for the warmth to settle back into him. I had to give it to him early because he got ill and was so chilled, I felt it would help. That was an understatement, he was amazed at the warmth he felt within a few minutes. This was the best early Christmas gift I could have given!

I use to use a heated blanket to keep me warm on those cold nights. This blanket keeps me very warm and it's so soft to cuddle up in. The pillows are great as well. Your head sinks right in.

Comforter is great. Only problem is there is no way this could be used year round like it says. It is far to heavy to use in the middle of the summer. I will have to pack it away half of the year and buy something else for the hot seasons.

I live in South Carolina and wanted a good blanket for my bed that could be used year round. I have had this for a year now and love the quality. I bought the first one because I just I moved to a new house and my old very expensive comforter was shot. All the reviews were positive so I thought I could not go too far wrong with a purchase. I was delighted with it. It is warm but has a light feel. I bought the second one for the guest bedroom and with the gift card and and additional promotions, it seemed that they were practically giving it away. Both were a great buy.

I have looked at high thread-count down comforters for over 2 years. I was so unhappy with my last down purchase that I decide to research and search high and low this time around! Just when I was about to spend over $400 on something with a high thread count (which was one of the MUST HAVES according to my research) I found this "alternative down" spread from Brookstone. My thoughts were that I would simply return it if it didn’t work out and bite the bullet for the more expensive one. Living in Charleston, SC, we needed something that would be perfect for all seasons, including very humid weather, but we also wanted some amount of “weight” - I hate skimpy covers. I also wanted the bed to look comfy when "made-up" - and inviting. Last night was our first night sleeping under this comforter and we could not be more pleased. Not only does it feel like very high thread count cotton - the weight is perfect –even when inside my duvet. It’s definitely what I would call heavy – but it’s not hot. I can't get over the money we saved! We are thrilled!

One of the greatest features of this comforter is it's not down filled. With a partner with allergies, it was important to find a non down filled cover that had similar features to down. We've only been using it a few months (spring) and love how lightweight it is, but still cuddly for cold Vermont nights.

I have been a down person all my life but have always been disappointed with shedding down comforters or feathers shifting. I decided to try a down alternative and since I usually am very happy with Brookstone, I thought I would give it a try. I LOVE the comforter. It is warm, but doesn't make you sweat. The cover is very soft and never cold to the touch like down comforters are when you first get into bed. I have not washed it yet, so I don't know how it will hold up in the wash. It has shed a little bit of the insulation, so we will see if that becomes a problem.

I have been looking for a new comforter for my duvet for some time. I have a king and didn't wanna spend a lot of money but wanted great quality. when I saw this one, I had to try it. It is the best thing I have ever bought. Its not to hot or cold. It stay in place in my duvet. I was recommend it to everyone.

I just bought this a couple days ago, so I don't know if my opinion will change, but my first couple nights with it were HOT. I bought the king size and it's really heavy. I like it's simplistic design and it's really soft to the touch, but it's really heavy and hot. Definitely would recommend for a cold climate. For the price, I don't think you can beat it.

Got this when i was placing my order for a idesire chair. At first i thought it was a cheap blanket when i saw the square fillings. I had a dow before and silk blanket also , and the cheap [$] blanket [...]also. The dow was just awaful with the little feathers. Silk is real smooth but very expensive at [$] queen size. Cheap blanket is good but i need 2 to be warm so it was heavy. This one [...]is nice and warm and good price also.
