Initially I thought this product was great, just what I needed for traveling. However I'm very disappointed in the quality. Within a few months the hinge holding the top mirror broke, and the bulb did not last long at all. Totally not worth what they charge for it.

I purchsed one of these mirrors this year and got to use it only once before the bulb burned out. The replacement lasted for only two uses. I see now that Brookstone is offering a one year guarantee on the mirror; that is a good move, but Brookstone, please go back to the manufacturer and demand better quality and that they make the "lifetime" bulb replaceable. No one wants to spend $$ each year for a new mirror and think of how many of these mirrors end up in our landfills. I would purchase the mirror only if the quality is improved.

I liked the idea of the light and being able to angle the mirror for putting in contacts and applying make-up when travelling. Unfortunately the light worked for only 2 weeks and died. It's hardwired in and not replaceable. The idea is good but the quality is poor, especially for the hefty price.

Expect to replace this entire mirror within two years because the "lifetime" bulb doesn't last. No way to replace the bulb, so the mirror and cord must be thrown away, littering our environment.

Not as nice as I thought it would be, movement is a little hard too. It is a little awkward to use, but the 10x magnification is good. Lighting is better than nothing, but could have been a little brighter too. Was a bit disappointed with its quality for the money I paid. Needed something like this to take when I am traveling, though, so it was what I was looking for.

This is a good lighted mirror for long distance travel. It will need to be packed in checked baggage due to the weight and size. It performs well. Tape the battery compartment to ensure that it stays closed before use.

I was using it everyday for make-up and it was graet until the bulb burned-up, I try everything but there is not a replacement bulb available for this mirror.
The other thing, it is too heavy to stay in an open position, I had to hold it with my hand all the time

I am a baby-boomer, and can no longer see well close up. I had started having my eyebrows waxed once a month (not a perfect approach for la couple of reasons)-but since I received my mirror I can keep things in line myself! In fact, I am seeing little imperfections in my face that I remember seeing in my twenties but had forgotten about! I love this mirror and think the light is just perfect. Highly recommend! I ordered a spare to make sure I am never without one.

If they'd only made this with a stronger light option. My bedroom has dim lighting and I need a good light, and this isn't it. However, I love the design - if they made it brighter (2X brighter)
I'd also make it so it could pull out further, so it's not so low. I can only lean over so far!
