After using the mirror over and over it loosens up and there is no way to tighten it back up!! So your sitting there putting on your makeup and all of a sudden it slips down! Then you have to keep putting it back to where you had it.

The mirror is OK- although there is a bit of distortion, Not top quality but useable. What was distressing was that the mirror just fell apart and shattered after being installed for less than one month. Moving the mirror to adjust for different heights and flipping sides has it start to loosen and eventually it literally just falls apart. [...]

I chose this mirror because of the brightness of the light and the 10x mag. I am happy with the brightness, although I wish it wasn't a florescent light. It is listed as "Natural Light". Not so, it casts an odd blue color which is not good when putting on makeup. The dimming function is nice. The construction of the light ring and mirror is very cheap and easily breakable. The construction of the mounting hardware and arm is very nice. The unit looks nice and does perform nice, but I don't look forward to having to take it apart again to replace the circular light ring. It isn't the quality you would expect from Brookstone.
