This hot pack will stay warmer than most microwaveable hot packs but not as long as the add claims it does. I have a powerful microwave and I have to put it in for 2 min and 30 sec for it to be effective. It does give off moist heat which feels nice. After 10 minutes I have to put it back in the microwave. If it stayed warmer longer it would be a great product.

I bought this for my husband who suffers from chronic neck pain. He wasn't to fond of the smell but put up with it because it seemed to work. He used it all of 4 times before it ripped. The inside that holds the linseed ripped and so did the cover. Luckily I saw it in time otherwise we would have had a big mess on our hands. I will be returning it. It is a great idea and the short while we had it it worked. If they improve on the design I would be willing to give it another try.

I haven't tried it yet chilled, which was my original reason for the purchase (for when I get a migraine.) I plan to get a second one to keep in the freezer. I do find it takes longer than 90 seconds in my microwave to warm up. It is very soothing for an achy neck or shoulders, or just when I feel cold. My daughter loves it too! The only thing I don't like is that it has a vaguely unpleasant fragrance (it's really not that noticeable) which could be improved tremendously by the addition of something natural such as lavender.

We bought this item for my Mother who is 92, and bed ridden most of the time. Aches and pains are a daily problem for her. The product is pretty good. I wish I could microwave it for longer than 90 seconds. The instructions say heat no longer than 90 seconds, but I would like it to be a little hotter. We had a similar heating pad that you heated in the microwave that we bought at a craft fair that was actually unpopped popcorn. That one got hotter but didn't retain the heat. The Brookstone one doesn't get quite as hot, but retains the heat a lot longer. Also, the good news is that Brookstones is moist heat. I like the product, I do wish it would stay a bit hotter. In the end, I am glad that I purchased it, but I'm not blown away.

I bought this Therapeutic Hot and Cold Neck Wrap
because I was in a car accident and was experiencing some pain. This handy Neck Wrap is so easy to use - stick it in the microwave until it's comfortable for me (you can put it in up to 90 seconds; I have been putting it in for about 60 seconds)and put it on my neck and it really does help relieve the pain.
I wish it wouldn't take so long to get cold (it says it should be in the freezer for 4 hours), but I haven't tried it that way yet. However, I'm sure it would help a sprained ankle.
