Several years ago I ordered towels that were very thin and a little "rough" like a loofa/exfoliator. That is the product I was looking for and the customer service person said those were no longer made but suggested this product. I ordered just one bamboo washcloth, in a beige color, to see how well we liked it, before ordering the rest of the set. We were surprised to find that it's much smaller than any other washcloths we have. If you plan to order this product, measure your towels and washcloths to be sure these are the size you want. The washcloth, which started out as beige, is now white. I have not bleached it, so the color has just washed out. It remains soft, thick, and thirsty after twenty washings, and we like the way it feels.

I have owned a set of 6 bamboo bath towels (not the bath sheet size) for almost three years now and I can't say enough good things about them. I force myself to wash my towels regularly because if I get stuck using another towel instead of one of my bamboo towels, I become mildly agitated.

This towel has so many great qualities. One of the main things I love about it is that after I dry myself off I then wrap my hair in it and it still absorbs so much water off my hair in one wrap that when I remove the towel a few minutes later, my hair is NOT sopping wet as it usually is from a different towel.

Also, after almost three years, the towels are still the softest/fluffiest ones to come out of my dryer. I use dryer sheets regularly and it hasn't negatively impacted the towels' texture.

What's striking to me is that I received a set of regular Egyptian cotton towels from a department store as a gift, around the same time I bought these bamboo towels from Brookstone. When I compare the two sets now, the 100% Egyptian cotton set has frayed ends, they're scratchy to the touch and there are hanging threads in many spots. My Brookstone bamboo towels don't look any different from when I bought them except for the fact that they seem to be color-sensitive to bleach products and show a few spots of discoloration, which was complete my mistake.

I initially balked at the price when I first bought these towels because, I'll admit, I'm a very fussy and frugal shopper. However, I believe the price is still the same today as they were back then. Considering how well they have held up over the past few years, I consider it money well spent since they show absolutely no signs of needing replacement while my gifted Egyptian towels show obvious wear and tear.

These bamboo towels are so incredibly soft and luxurious!! They are plush yet very, very absorbant and not "skinny" feeling. You feel like you've got a REAL towel, not a paper thin piece of material that really doesn't soak up more than a few drops. I highly recommend these to anyone and am gradually converting all my towels to bamboo. They hold up well in the wash and dont lose their fluff after a few washings. Even better is they are also environmentally friendly! Try these and you will never want to use another type of towel again. My only complaint is that there are no matching bath rugs for all the colors.

The towels I purchased were white because I've read that color does not hold up on bamboo products. I can say for sure this is true. I have purchased kitchen washcloths and when I got them wet, the color started pouring out of it. Luckily I did this before putting them in the washing machine. Every few years, towels need to be replaced. I got tired of looking for bargain towels and towels on sale. I decided to try one of these bamboo towels - and wow - what a difference quality makes. You definitely get what you pay for. These bamboo towels are really soft and absorbant - plus, they dry quicker after use (if you hang them on a hook). The only thing that perplexes me abit is after washing, they seem to take longer to dry (in the dryer) than other towels. You would think that they would dry faster (or as fast)so I don't know the reason for this. Anyway, I am replacing my towels one by one as I am happy with these and think they will last more than a couple of years.

My husband enjoys "scratchy" towels, the other brand of bamboo towels online are too slippery. These have a nice loop to them and dry you off as soon as you touch the towel to your skin. They do not hold any bad smells, and stay fresh smelling for a long time.

While we really liked the towel, after the first wash the seams came apart on one of the towels. Contacted customer service and had to return at my expense which they replaced. After third wash on second towel it also has begun to come apart at seam. Didn't contact customer service 2nd time as I didn't want the expense and hassle of having to return. Not happy with product at the price I paid and wouldn't buy these again.

These are fairly nice bamboo towels. The sandstone color is a good neutral color, but with the rayon sheen, it is not boring. Goes with a lot of color schemes. When we first received them, I was a bit doubtful, but washed them as recommended and they did plump up a good bit and became more absorbent. I own two other bamboo towel sets of which one is more absorbent, thick, plush, and the other is less so. I'd call this a good middle grade set. I am satisfied, for the price I paid (used an online coupon).

Although I am very happy with this towel overall, I was disappointed that several threads (in one spot) pulled during the first wash. I have a front loading machine and have no problems generally, so I am sure it was a flaw in the fabric and not my machine. It makes me wonder how the towel will hold up over time. I am extremely pleased with the bamboo towels. I was skeptical, but because I had a coupon, I figured I had nothing to lose.

I was expecting something that felt less like cotton and more like wool. Really for me, the antimicrobial properties were what interested me most, so I was willing to sacrifice a little softness for the sake of hygene.

Well, there was no compromise, or sacrifice involved. I could not believe how soft the towels were. They are highly absorbent, soft and just an all around excellent product. They are everything that I hoped for and more.

Easiest way to go Green today. Bamboo always stays fresh. You will no longer have to deal with the smell of mildew in your towels. No P-U when you use Bamboo! The material is just as soft and absorbent as cotton. I am replacing all towel sets in my house. The only drawback is remembering to pull the towels to wash--you can no longer do the smell test!

This is one of the best towels I have ever used to dry off with! You can take two or three towels a day and every time your towel is perfectly dry. After about 6 months of use it never smells like mold and every time it smells brand new!!

We use these towels in everyday use for our family. With two teenage children, showers happen frequently. These towels are very absorbent and may be used 2-4 times before developing the typical soured smell of pure cotton towels. They also dry faster than the typical cotton towels. As we're able, we plan to replace our towels with these.

Great product! We are replacing all of our standard cotton wash cloths and towels with the bamboo/yarn products. While the feel and performance of the products is great, we especially like the antibacterial properties. Our bathroom is a closed environment, subject to mold, mildew and other health risk undesirables. We have an aggressive "clean room" regimen to keep the bathroom as clean as we can. The bamboo/yarn products are now part of our preventive maintenance procedure to keep our bathroom area as free of contaminants as we can.

I use these towels in all my bathrooms. They are the best bamboo towels I've found (even better than the so called "best rated" ones). They are better than any all cotton towel I've ever used. These have more bamboo so they are softer and more absorbent. They have enough cotton so they keep their shape very well. Overall they appear lighter or not as fluffy as other towels, but they do a great job at drying and are very soft. I have recommended these towels to my whole family.

Love these towels they are very soft and absorbent. When you launder, wash only in cold and use no fabric softner and they come out great. I also have sheets made out of bamboo, they are so soft and wrinkle free. I think bamboo is the way to go.

I'm not sure these towels are particularly super absorbent, like some reviewers said. However, I do like these towels very much. They feel satiny. I have washed & dried them several times by now, and they have not shrunk or "buckled." Before buying these from Brookstone, I read a review about other bamboo towels from another retailer that shrunk. I checked those out & they were a bit cheaper, but I didn't mind spending more money if they were not going to shrink.

The first thing I noticed when I opened these towels is how soft they were. The colors look true to what was shown, I have blossom, rain and viola. They are absorbent. Quality is good, the corners match evenly when they are folded, edges are true and square. They wash and dry nicely. I love them.

I like the softness and look of the bamboo towels. Bamboo is supposed to be anti-bacterial, but I found that the washcloth ends up smelling just like my regular towels if they aren't bleached periodically. I hate to use bleach, so I was hoping the bamboo would be different.

I shopped around for bamboo towels for some time before deciding to try these in our master bathroom. These towels are incredibly soft and absorbant. After trying these towels, my old cotton towels have been retired to other household duties, as they feel like sandpaper compared to these bamboo towels. While the bath sheets shrank a bit, they are still generously sized. I plan to buy more for myself and for gifts.

These towels are great! I bought one because I needed a fast-drying towel for my workouts. This towels dries fast after absorbing nearly all the water after my showers. I can pack it away knowing it won't develop a mildew smell after a short drive home. I was a little hesitant about spending the amount on a single towel but it has been well worth the money because of the quality!

The only reason we gave these towels 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the price. These towels are exceptionally soft. Unlike other towels that get a moldy or dirty smell the antibacterial bamboo these towels are made of works great. Highly recommend. We will buy more despite the price.

I have compared many towels over the past year and by far the BYT is the best towel for the money. This includes towels from fine department stores and other speciality stores. The BYT is softer and wicks the water from your skin without rubbing. It gets better with each use and while some customers stated that it stayed damp longer, I think that may have been the pure soft texture of the towel; as it does not dry stiff like many cotton towels. With regard to the price, you get what you pay for and this towel is worth the price and is still comparable to towels found at fine department stores. I plan to buy several full sets, plus extra bath towels as they are an excellent investment based on the quality of the product.
They will also be gifts to family as a very practical gift that I am sure will be appreciated.
If you are not sure, I suggest you buy one bath towel and try it for a month and see if you do not agree on the great quality of this product.

I love the towel! It is incredibly soft as well as being incredibly absorbent! My only complaint is that I think it shrunk a little. It still is big, but I would have liked it bigger. I would recommend this towl to everyone.

I would not normally spend this much on towels but we were tired of our $10 towels not surviving the dryer. These towels are so soft I just want to wear them around the house. They soak up water very quickly and they dry fast enough that we can take 2-3 showers in one day and use the same towel.

These towels are wonderful; silky, soft, absorbent. Brookstone has a better color palette than some other bamboo towel vendors. My only complaint is that when I ordered what I assumed would be matching rugs (bamboo, in the same color name), the rug color did not match the towel.
