I have owned a few of these. The first one was replaced by the company 4 times due to failure or tearing of the straps. Since it is the ONLY cooling product available, I put up with the flaws. If you are in the South, it makes driving bearable in the mid summer. It does not get hot or cold, it just evens temps out so don't expect to be able to turn off the A/C or heater on all but the mildest of days. I have to say that the customer service is good and I would highly recommend that if you do decide to purchase the product that you pay a local tailor to sew in some decent straps. You will be lucky if the ones that come with the pad last for more than a month. Also, in my case, I had to secure the cooling unit as it can move around a lot during driving and could pose a safety risk.

This product is an overpriced seat cushion. The heat option or cooling option did not work. Horrible. Don't bother with this product.

i wish this product would throw off more heat! and it doesn't get warm, that one could tell, for about 5 minutes. not sure about the cool use since its still winter but am hoping for a better result

I bought this for my husband because my car has seat warmers and his does not. He followed all instructions and just could not get this to heat up at all. we are returning item.

UNfortunately the straps came away from the body. 2 of the 3 were not even sewn in place. I cannot secure it. Using it in a car is therefore unsafe.
It is also quite noisey - this was unexpected.

The warm mode works great and you can run the heater in your car less. I can't wait until summer to use the cool mode. We tried it out at home and it seems good too!

We love this product for our office personnel. Unfortunately, the straps fell of in a day. I'm not too sure how long the heater will work.

I gave this seat to my Dad as a gift and he LOVES it!! He says it's the best gift I have ever given him. It keeps him cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

I love this! It heats up and cools down very fast. Even though I would recommend this, there are a few cons - but they don't outweigh the pros:

1. The placement of the box (with water inside) is not convenient. I have kicked out the cord, even slightly, MANY times, and it won't work. But you don't realize that's why it's not working til much later or after you've done it several times!

2. The box makes a lot of noise. It's gurgling the whole time the unit is on. (hint: That's how you'll know it's on and the cord is in!)

3. Kids can play with the straps that buckle around the back of your seat.

I bought this to go on a company trip thorough the south. It was a great thing to have along when the weather was so hot. It helped cool me off. We were in a F-350 and I think the seats were a big too big for the item, as about day 2 some of the straps holding it in place broke. Now that I'm back from the company trip I'm using it in my office chair to keep me cool. Still, the straps are broke, but I'm making do. I think a smaller car wouldn't have strained it so much to snap.

The particular car that I have this heated/cooled seat cover in has neither air conditioning or heating... so far during the summer the cooling part of the seat cover has managed to keep me comfortable and sweat free. I also used this seat cover in an office chair and was kept very comfortably cool (especially due to the air conditioning). I highly recommend this seat cover

Don't waste your money on seat toppers that have tiny fans in them. Get this seat topper with the same technology that keeps hot computer systems cool.

I have heated seats for the winter, but in the 90+ degree heat I have sweat a lot on trips. So I finally bought this product after looking at it many times, thinking it might be the best choice to for a cool seat. It fit perfectly in my car seat, with the cool/heat pump sitting under the seat and the hose running around the side of the seat. My trip to work is about 25 minutes, and after the car has been sitting in the sun, it still keeps me from sweating. After about 15 minutes, you can feel the seat getting cold. The two cool zones are at the perfect spot to keep you cool. The worst thing about this product is on longer trips it will freeze your bottom, so I unplug it as needed. The only other bad thing is the 12v plug does not want to stay in all the time, but it does have a LED to know when it's getting power. I am really happy about this product, it's a great AC saver. I was still cool in 100 degree full sunshine, without the AC, with this cool seat.

I use it in my car.
It does cools off the seat fairly quick if you have the AC on.
If the vehicle is not cool it does not cool off and actually attracts the heat.

I have to correct my previous review -- this seat is perfect!! I was not doing something right - but when I fixed it, the seat cushion cools right away. It's too hot right now to try the heating phase, but I am sure it will be just as great. Thanks for making such a great product!!

Great idea!! My only complaint is that it takes too long to get cool -- wish I could turn it on with my car's auto starter. I don't have a very long commute, so it is not cool on the ride - but it's great for longer trips. I like the fact that it can be left on for short periods of time.
