Bought this umbrella when on a trip to NYC, used it for 2 days, and then when I next needed it several months later (and after the 1 yr. warranty) the lifting mechanism had jammed and made it unusable...paid way-y-y-y too much money for something that gave so little service.

We bought 2 umbrellas from Brookstone about 10 years ago. One is still going strong and this one replaced the other. We bought them from Brookstone since we were tired of having to replace other brands we bought in the past and we were right. Look how long they last. Other brands lasted a year maybe two. These are great umbrellas.

Has worked well and people always ask me about it. I go to school in a very windy place so if the umbrella ever gets bent out of shape, you press the button and it'll close again and open again, back to it's original shape. Haven't had any problems with it.
