I have a good eco-car with poor quality seats. This has resulted in frequent and severe leg pain. The gel comfort cushion has made things much better. It fits easily on the seat and the rubberized bottom keeps it in place.
The gel must even out my weight so I don't put pressure on my critical parts.
I use the cushion in my home office chair when I have lots of work to do and it works wonders there too.

The weight of the cushion holds it securely in place in the car seat and is not a negative. The cushion helps prevent pain in my deteriorated hip joints when riding in the car (my car already has a lumbar support built into the seat). The only negative which I can live with is that it is very cold in Vermont and it does absorb the cold, but it quickly warms up from body heat.

When I first sat on this cushion I was disapointed - there is no immediate "aah thats comfortable!" feeling. However, I used it on a recent long distance trip and avoided the backaches that I had experienced on previous long distance drives.

Make sure its centered on the car seat before you sit down. It stays in place on the seat, which is good, but that makes it harder to adjust once you're driving.

I had been searching for something to relieve the pain I had from nerve damage in the back of my right thigh. My job requires sitting for 8 hours and the pain I had while working was severe. I had tried 3 other types of chair cushions, with little relief. This one finally did the trick. It's wonderfully comfortable and can be placed on any sitting surface. With the nonslip backing, it stays in place.

I like this cushion because the edges are tapered. Good for everyday use for long hours. My wife prefers the support of the SeatCushion by Tempur-pedic (we bought at Brookstone years ago). We also own the inexpensive Round Memory Foam Seat Cushion, which is okay for temporary/short-term usage; you get what you pay for.

A friend of mine suffers from a coccyx (tailbone) injury and finds it difficult to sit for long periods of time, especially on a hard surface such as concrete benches, leather chairs, etc. He has tried other "doughnut" type products and pillows but finds that the gel cushion is the most comfortable item he has used and, unlike a pillow, it is relatively inconspicuous! This gel cushion relieved the posterior pain that usually comes with driving our Honda Civic more than 1 hour straight - worked well on a 4 day drive from Chicago to Phoenix. The thickness didn't cause headroom problems (though it may for some). Last trip west we used an electric massage-type seat which wasn't as effective, and it took up more headroom, making it hard to get in and out of the car.

This cushion is quite comfortable, but contrary to the product description, it does not cover the entire car seat. I'm sure this depends on your car seat - some are deeper than others, I imagine. But the cushion is about 4 or 5 inches too short for my car seat (I drive a Honda Civic), so the edge of the cushion sort of cuts into the back of my legs. It's not a deal breaker by any means - the comfort of the cushion far outweighs this minor inconvenience. In fact, I plan on ordering another cushion for my office chair.

As a bus driver, I'm in the driver's seat for 8 to 10 hours straight. The seats are well cushioned but they become uncomfortably warm. Also, as the seats are not cloth, as one moves, your pants stick. In time you've managed to give yourself a wedgie!

This seat cushion accomplished alot:
1. It better cushions against jolts caused by bumps and dips in the road.
2. It does not need to be secured as the vinyl side sticks in place. No sliding.
3. The cloth wicking on the seat side keeps the posterior cooler than the vinyl seat alone.
4. Positioned correctly, the wedge factor can be defeated.

Extremely comfortable and well worth the investment.

I like the seat. It makes any driving quite more comfortable. It supports your back well unlike any other seat or pillow. It's not bulky at all. It may be a little heavy but it comes with a handle for easy carrying. The only drawback is that it only comes in black and it does heat up. I recommend brighter colors such as a light grey or tan. Overall this seat is a very good one.

I frequently sit for many hours at my computer. Before I got this cushion, my lower back would lock up and I would experience considerable pain lasting for days. I tried other cushions, even gel cushions, without success. I wrestled with myself over paying that much but it was my last hope. It turned out to be a winner. My back now feels 100% better. My one suggestion is that it be made a tiny bit thicker, say one and one half times as thick as it currently is. Everything else about it is just right. I like the handle on it, as I can hang it up by the computer where it is always handy. This is a great product.

I bought this for my husband whose profession is sedentary, and needs the comfort for sitting for long periods of time. We used the gel seat on our drive back home from the holidays and it made the 20+ hours go by a lot more easily. It felt strange at first, but after about 10 minutes on it you forgot it was there. Sit on to relive pressure from sitting in a car to long. Seems to work well for that but when you get out of the car if sticks to you and falls off the seat and out of the car. This is a pain.

Purchsed for mother as gift and gave to her early due to persistent pain sitting. She adores it! Have been on search for proper bum cushion for her for years and this I suspected was "just another one". Was so wrong. She says all she has to do is move slightly if uncomfortable and pain goes away. The gel allows for all day comfort as it doesn't flatten like the other cushions have. After the holidays, she will have a total of 3 for desk, dining, and traveling. Shhhh, she doesn't know.

I bought a Tempur-Pedic cushion first. It was compfortable but my legs still got numb on long drives so I purchased this cushion and it works. It moves around a little but that is a small price to pay for the comfort it gives me on drives over, say, 30 minutes.

No leg cramps or leg pain in my two five-hour trips. Back pain reduced. I haven't yet tried it on longer trips so I'll reserve judgment on that. Still, this is the best thing I have tried yet, so absolutely recommended.

Comfort gel seats are great because they provide immediate relief from hip pain.The seats are easy maintenance and light weight making them feasible to carry where ever you go. Too, I like the soft fabric handle that is attached to the removable cushion cover.This promotes ease of handling as well.

There is only one change I would make;that is the vinyl side. It does peel.

This cushion stays on the seat well. The gel remains flexible and provides a great cushion for a too hard car seat. It has a handle for carrying and would also work well in hard airplane seats.

I use this anytime I drive. I use it in restaurants, at work, movies, anytime there is a hard seat. I have disc problems and this has worked far better than any other type of cushion to ease my pain and make sitting bearable.
I would like to be able to purchase a replacement cover rather than trying to make one. However, This is an excellent value.
