This thing is amazing. You just put it on the top of the bottle, hold down the button and voila, its open! Then you push the button in the other direction and the cork appears unharmed. I've never opened a bottle easier than with this!

I was very excited when I received this opener for a Christmas gift. However, within 4 months it broke. It withdrew a cork from the bottle but the screw will no longer turn the other direction - go into a cork. This is not a good or reliable product!

I was so excited to get this cool corkscrew when my old rabbit-style one died.

The first time I tried to use it it chopped the cork in half but I was able to extract it with a manual corkscrew. Not happy. The second time it worked fine, although I couldn't tell when it was done extracting the cork, I just guessed right when I lifted it up and saw my cork inside it. Oh cool! I figured out how to work this thing! But again the third time, even though it ran for quite a while, my cork was shredded. That time I was almost unable to get the cork out with my manual corkscrew and was on the verge of having to punch the cork down into the wine. How frustrating!

Bottom line, if it worked every time like the 2nd time, I'd keep it. But two of three times it made a mess of my cork. I also didn't like that it was so big that it didn't fit into my drawer. It is cool enough looking to sit out on the counter, but it's big!

So even though it looks cool, it didn't work as advertised, so this thing is going back.

I was skeptical when I bought this. I have replaced so many wine openers of all types as they break after a while and are hard to use. This is so simple it is uncanny. The only drawback is if the cork is dry and breaks off. Then you have to resort to the old fashioned opener. Luckily that does not happen often. I am going to buy one for my friend as a gift.

This is a poor product that does not work well or reliably. Sometimes, I place it on top of the cork, press the start button, and it just "groans" a little and makes no progress. Other times, the corkscrew does go down into the cork, THEN just "groans" and does not bring the cork back up. YET other times, it actually does get the cork out, BUT it won't release the cork to come back OUT. About one in 5 times, it does what it is advertised to do. I will be returning this product - I'd rather just use a good ol' fashioned wine key.

You need to make sure the opener is directly above the wine bottle otherwise you may have difficulty getting the cork out. One this is perfected, it uncorks fast.

Nice idea, but can be improved.....I charged up my unit, which has a very sleek and contemporary look to it. Fully expecting to be able to open 30 wine bottles on one charge, mine stopped after only 5. It works better on synthetic corks, as I had the misfortune of breaking one natural cork with this unit (was too close to the edge/off center). You also need to have a firm grasp on the bottle, as it will want to spin when the torque from the motor first begins to lift up the cork. The Rabbit is bulkier, but faster, and doesn't look as sleek as the automatic opener.

My dad's current wine opener was fine but after frequent use it takes some strong hand effort to remove cork. Tried this because it would be automatic and easier to use. It works great and will purchase for myself too. My dad loves it and opens his own bottles with ease. My recommendation would be to have a stand to put the wine bottle in when opening as you have to hold bottle still to ensure proper cork removal and with it being automatic the bottle tends to rotate while operating the cork remover. My dad has that issue down, and I need a little work on it. Very easy storage and charging system.

I got four uses out of this before I ran into a soft artificial cork that symied the corkscrew. The ccrkscrew was unable to "unscrew" the soft cork and ultimately had to be discarded as a major waste of money. Very disapointing.

I bought this as a fun "toy". It took some getting used to at first- and the power it generates is more than I expected, but once I got the hang of it, removing corks is super easy. I don't know that I'd recommend it for opening large quantities of bottles at once though, it doesn't seem like it could take the stress.

Have you ever had a problem removing a plastic cork from a wine bottle? If you have, this is the opener for you!

I had a "rabbit" type opener I used for years but would have problems opening some of the wines in my collection. Now problem solved!

Of the 15 wine bottles used for testing, This item worked well only ONCE. 4 of the others had corks pulled almost out and the remainder had corks with still at least 3/4" remaining in the bottle at conclusion of process. One test tore the cork so badly it broke in two, leaving a real mess in the bottle and in the opener above the corkscrew. I'm really sorry it didn't work as stated in the ad.

Having tried every corkscrew up to and including the rabbit, I found that few worked well -- and even fewer (including the rabbit)lasted very long.

I have now had this corkscrew for six weeks, and it is fabulous. Pulling the cork now is no fuss, no muss.

This is a FANTASTIC Christmas present for wine lovers.
