Well I was not happy with the product , I bought it as a gift for my husband so he can use it when we go to Morocco where I am from or when he talks to my family.
Arabic is my native language and french is my second one , it was almost impossible for me to understand what the voice was saying , plus it's so complicated to navigate the menu ...I returned it back the second day.
I think that those little books we buy as a travel guide are much better than Linguo .
It's the first time I buy somthing from Brookstone and be disapointed

I purchased this item to better communicate with people who speak other languages (Spanish primarily). I am an RN and I work in multilingual environments. The aspect I do not like is that I cannot type in a sentence and get the translation for it, I can only type in a word and/or pat phrases for translations. Other than that I am (so far) very pleased with its compactness and abilities. I have not had it for long but I can see that it will be a very convienant device to have. I did not even know it had games when I bought it, so that was an added plus

The translations are great however it is extremely difficult to understand audio in order to model pronunciation of words accurately. Audio voice is too robotic sounding and unclear. For the price of this product, it should sound much better. Other functions work well.
