I bought this set of earbuds about 6 months ago and there is already a short in the cord. After every use, i roll them up and put them in a pouch with my shuffle so they are not mistreated. I also own the retractable ear buds and have no problem. I think the problem may be the stiff cord of the sound isolating earbuds...my retractable earbuds are extremely flexable...but the cord is much shorter by comparison. for as much as these cost the design/materials need to be revised!

These are excellent in sound quality, are light weight, look sharp, and are very comfortable. HOWEVER, they are poorly constructed in that if you are not gentle, the chord will pop out of the holder and the headphones will not work. This has happened twice.

I bought this product for it's noise cancelling capabilities,it is great for that; but to be honest my brother bought the cheaper retractable buds and they stay on your ears better and sound about the same, with better base.

I first saw these in O'hare airport at a Brookstone kiosk. I tried them with my SanDisk Sansa Fuse and they sounded great. The earphones I was using at the time had more bass but lacked the crisp mids and highs that these offer. I did not buy them as it was the start of my trip and I was on a budget. When I got back I checked out the Brookstone at the mall and they did not have them in stock and I was bummed. Went back after black friday and there they were. They sound great but if you have an MP3 Player with high bass output you can get some distortion.
