I use the e-Pad Laptop Desk for homework (book and/or laptop) and for gaming with my laptop and reading or writing when I don't feel like being at my desk. I can use my cooling pad under my 12lb gaming laptop with a 17in screen with ease! The only thing is I have my gaming mouse on the side ontop of a little book which is fine.

I purchased one of these for each of my 3 sons and my husband for Christmas. They love them. When I bought a laptop I had problems with it overheating. I bought myself a desk and this solved the problem. My daughter-in-law wants one too. You can also use this lap top desk as a regular lap desk instead of a clipboard or book as a base. I would recommend this product to all laptop users.

Just what I needed! I used to use the couch pillows to prop my computer up while I sat on the couch. The computer would get really hot because the regular pillow did not allow it to breath. Now that I have the ePad, my computer no longer gets hot. The only recommendation I would make is to make the stopping guard a little bigger. My computer has high foot pads and when I sit it on the ePad in an angle, it slides right over the guards.

Over all a good product, it's a little thicker than I thought it would be but with use that may decrease. Keeps lap comfortable and cool. Only drawback is storage of something so thick and it has no add on for a mouse pad to use a cordless mouse with your laptop.

I love my e-pad! It does everything it promises to do at a great price. It is comfortable to use, keeps the heat from my laptop away from my lap and lifts the laptop to a very user-friendly level. I've had several surgeries in the last year and had to spend a good deal of time in bed. This product has been perfect for my situation. I can't find any cons to list for it, unless you count the fact that even my cats like to sit on it!

I use the laptop desk in the car when I'm on long trips, & someone else is driving. It absorbs the laptops heat better than other things I have tried and it allows me to work longer because of this. On the downside, it is very bulky. I had hoped for something I could take on a plane, but it's mcuh too thick. It doesn't weigh much - just too thick.

I use this product while working from home. It's quite nice to work casually on a couch as opposed to in a home office on the weekends, and makes it easier to spend time with family. In favor of the laptop heat spilling into my lap, this device helps alleviate that problem. The only con is that I wouldn't want to take this into the office - looks aren't the most appealing - but this is about practicality.

This product is quite unique. It has a large and secure space for my laptop while I am sitting or lying down and also raises the height to a more comfortable level while I am operating my computer. I think the design is very attractive, sort of eclectic. I decided to go with the red.

I bought this based on the other reviews and to replace my other laptop desk. I found this one to be extremely bulky. You can't really sit in bed comfortably with this on your lap. It's like this big unstable ball that can easily topple from side to side. It is not comfortable for its purpose because there is too much stuffing in the bottom and it's not wide enough to distribute the weight of the laptop evenly, so you'll find this top-heavy item on a light ball of weight below. You would have about the same experience using a child's kick ball for a laptop desk. PASS ON THIS ONE! I'll be going back to my old laptop desk.

I got this for work to extend my desktop keyboard. It worked OK if you like it to be as high as your desk. At home My laptop does fit on it. It's good if sitting on a sofa. But an office chair, your legs actually tilt it downward. There is also no room for a wireless mouse or pad. You must use the laptop mouse.

The laptop desk itself was awesome, however the black sleeve that came along with it as a kit...not so much. The sleeve indicated by the dimesion measurements it would fit my wifes laptop. It didn't even come close to fitting, much to small for the laptop to fit into it. We had to return it to a local Brookstone store.

I bought this item as a Christmas gift to my husband. He uses his laptop very often for school and work. This product has been great for sitting on the couch and working on the laptop. Laptop or legs do not get hot, holds laptop at a good angle for work, and the non-skid surface works great! We have a very large laptop and it supports it wonderfully! Product seems sturdy. We have both enjoyed using it. Great product for the price.

Only potential negative is that the fabric handle on the side does seem to have a lot of tension on it when you carry the Epad by the handle, so I do see that the fabric may have the potential of ripping at the handle or separating from the firm top of the Epad. No problems yet...just potential.

My wife is very very pleased with the EPAD. It keeps her cool even in long useage. The bright red pad and huge, but managable pad, is a living room decoration of sorts. She had one from an office supply chain store, but it had a pad full of tiny cotton balls, which leaked all over the living room. Brookstone came through. I really like how the laptop desk positions on my legs and gives me a great angle to view my laptop. However it does not absorb the heat given off by my laptop and ends up making my legs very hot. The sleeve is well constructed and sturdy. Gives great protection when traveling and my laptop bag is not needed.

When I saw this product, I knew we had to have it. As a household with two laptops and no desktop computers, we are always toting our laptops around somewhere. The design is genius and I no longer have to lust after those cool mats to keep my laptop from burning a hole in a pillow. This is a comfortable and functional tool to use with the laptop. However...the laptop desk is very fluffy. This is good for comfort, but the first few (dozen, twenty, etc.) times you use it, the fluffiness can cause itself to slide right off your knees. After the appropriate break-in period, it works just fine. I would still recommend this product. It's good after you make it your own.

I was surprised at how comfortable and ergonomic this laptop pad is! The laptop doesn't slip or slide on the surface and the design of the pad holds the laptop at the right angle very comfortably.

I use my this with my Dell Latitude D240 and it holds it perfectly! With larger laptops, I would wonder if it would be as good of a fit. It also has a nice ledge at the front end to keep the laptop from slipping off. It works well with a light one. The red is very bright, for those who are wondering.
