I was looking for an A/C cover for my newly installed Amana unit because it's right under a tree that sheds quite a bit in the fall. I was at first thinking about a custom fit one but I just couldn't imagine spending [$]for a fitted tarp. I found this on Brookstone, saw the good reviews, and got it. I wasn't expecting much from the price but it actually surprised me. It is a very good quality cover and almost looks like a custom fitted job. Saaweeet. I'm good now and so is my A/C.

The combination of velcro closures and side openings make installing the AC cover a breeze and a tight fit for maximum protection. It stays in place and doesn't blow away like some others.

This cover contains two full-height slits: one center, and one on a corner seam. These allow for center-positioned, or corner-positioned hoses and wires. The Velcro allows the cover to wrap around all the connections and keep the cover closed. Initially, I'm very pleased. All I need to do now is wait and see how it stands up to the cold winter temperatures and snow.

it is an outside ac cover for the fall months it's a large size, heavy duty material but the one velcro strap doesnt keep it closed so i had to use my own cords to keep it tied on the the unit

The quality far exceeded my expectations given the low price. I did a lot of comparison shopping prior deciding on this cover. My AC unit is not a standard size at 24x24x30. Just tighten it up with tape or twine if you want a snugger fit at the bottom. Although I believe this will last for many years, I'm still buying an extra for when this one wears out. I will also shop at Brookstone for any other outdoor covers I may need.

I bought the small central air conditioner cover via mail order and it's perfect. Gathered on the bottom and fully lined , it was easy to install and I'm sure it will stay put. I don't have to put a piece of plywood and a big rock over the top of the unit anymore to protect it from the brutal winters we have here. I chose the forest green and it blends right in with the landscaping.

I am using one cover on our pool heater. Nice fit, slit is nice for going around pipes.

This cover was a perfect discovery for my central air compressor while I was looking at different places. Very reasonably priced and very thoughtfully designed. Fits perfectly with elastic bands and velcro opening for cable and refrigerant. I was a little worried as to how to get around the controls but the opening in the cover took care of it. Perfect.

It's an A/C cover made specifically to fit an external A/C unit. It does that perfectly. It appears to be made of sturdy material with a soft lining so the A/C unit should be protected from the winter elements and kept looking new, good when house is or if sold.

We bought this to cover a pool heater.
We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the fabric for the price, and were happy to find it has velcro fasteners on two sides. We had thought we'd have to modify the cover to accomodate the pipes going into the heater, but it wasn't necessary - a perfect fit.

The cover worked nicely, but I live in a region that can have strong winds. In mid-winter the cover blew off never to be found again. A bungee cord around the perimeter or rope would have held it in place.

This cover fits my 4-ton freon based Trane air conditioner nicely. Durable material, nice khaki color that blends in with my beige colored stucco wall perfectly. The only major down side is that on the newer version of these covers, there're velros on the sides(they're probably there so that it's easier to put on the cover ). However, rain can easily sips in through the velcro seams.

I like this cover that it has velco on the middle and corner so it is flexible as to the type of compressor you have. It's waterproof with cotton layer inside, probably help against snow and ice a bit. But it comes a bit short - doesn't wrap all the way down. I wish it is taller.

The description never mentioned that there was a slit up the middle of one of the side panels. This slit is held together with Velcro and is to accommodate the tubing and electrical connections coming out of the A/C unit. This was a great feature. Unfortunately, my A/C unit's tubing and electrical connections come out of the corner of my unit and I couldn't use this cover. Fortunately, my brother could use it.

This is the same great fabric and design as the patio furniture covers I purchased. However, I have an older A/C unit that apparently is not a standard size, so the cover is a bit large. Rather than send it back and search for the right size, I just installed it and put an extra tie around it to keep it secure. If your unit is standard size you shouldn't have any problems.

[...] the design engineers may have dropped the ball on this one. This cover would have been great, if the piping and electric that comes out of our unit was positioned on the base of the unit. Our "stuff" is midway up the unit..so guess what? As you pull the cover over the unit, it cannot go all the way down. I made some "Adjustments" with a box cutter, but just be warned.

I bought covers for two (central) A/C units. One unit is too tall for the cover (the bottom of the A/C is exposed with the cover in place) and the other is too small (the cover hangs below the bottom, and will likely balloon in the wind.) However, I was quite pleased with the quality of the covers.

I have had this cover for over two years now and it has endured the harsh New England winters quite well.
