This chair is the best in-home purchase I've ever made! It's great knowing that I can get a massage anytime I want without leaving the house! The only negative is that it does creak a little. With music or the tv on, I don't even notice. I chose it in the brown-tone, and am very pleased with the neutral color. If you can afford to splurge, this is a great thing to put your money towards.

Looked at these for a long time before I found one that is both economical and effective. This chair meets both of those criteria. A fraction of the price of higher-end models, and just as good -- if perhaps lacking some of the bells and whistles.

I suffer from chronic low back/hip and neck pain. I go to a chiropractor for temporary relief. I have used basic massage cushions, etc. that typically go over a chair. This is not the same thing. This chair actually gives deep tissue massage, has sometimes also adjusted my spine as it produces a bit of spinal traction as it's rollers go down the back. I have found that many times I am able to get up from the chair and stand up straight and walk pain free vs. the usual hobble until I can get slowly back up to a proper standing position, espcially after having sat in a chair or recliner for a while as in watching T.V. I love and highly recommend this chair.

It is a very good treatment for my back pain. It helps my husband to go to sleep. He used to have problem to be asleep.
It is also a very good treat for my visiting friends. They all like it. And now they like to visit us more often.

I use this massage chair when I feel worn out, I mean every day.
It is very relaxing.
After I have used this massage chair I don't want to move to other chair, but the back chair is uncomfortable for use as a regular chair (it need a pillow) and also need to make the legs comfortable.

This massage chair is the answer to the extra help my bad back and aching muscels needed. I use at least one of the settings on a daily basis as well as my stretching excersises and saving a bundle on the weekly masseuse! I got the chair in Chestnut by the way which goes well with the earthy tones in my home.

My husband and I agree that this is one of our best purchases ever. The design of the chair is modern and a nice addition to our living room. It's extremely quiet, so you can watch TV at the normal volume while using it (or use it while others are asleep without disturbing them). It has several different programs or you can set it to massage only the area you need. It's excellent for relieving back pain from tight muscles, or just for stress relief. It's so relaxing it can put you to sleep! The price was our biggest hurdle, but we realized that the benefit is well worth it, and we don't regret buying it for even a second.

Up until a few years ago, I used to have a massage therapist come to my home for theraputic massage treatments. When this was discontinued, I never persued another therapist, and went YEARS without the massage therapy that once sustained me. And then I saw this chair in a Brookstone store and gave it a test run. I was HOOKED instantly! I happened to be in some pain that day, and the "Relax" button on the chair worked wonders for me. I felt so much better at the conclusion of the chair's massage that I had to order one for our home. There are so many options and target areas that I still have much to learn, but anyone would be more than satisfied by simply pressing the power button, and then either "Relax", "Well-being", or "Health" for a full range of very satisfying manuvers. I have not regretted this purchase for a second - having this massage chair has truly changed my life!

I am only 5'1" and I love how this measures for the massage. It works great!!! I have fibromyalgia and this is working wonders. I get regular massages and know this chair will pay for itself in no time. I use it several times a day. I couldn't be more satisfied so far.

I had back surgery in December. I've been using this chair for a month and I've felt the best I have felt since the surgery. My pain management doctor recommended it as well as my PT. I use it every night when I get home from work. I've been able to get off of some of my pain pills since using this after only one month. Absolutely worth the $.

This chair has a wide variety of massages available. The leg air massage is particulary relaxing.

We tried many chairs in all price brackets. This chair has the best massage action at ANY price.
The down side is that it's vinyl and the leg unit doesn't flip when not in use. We even bought a high end Human Touch and paid a huge sum to send it back because the massage wasn't nearly as good as this chair. Not good looking furniture but a GREAT massage!

Price is great. I'm only 5'3" and I don't think the chair is able to scan the body high before message. It think my head is my shoulder. Also, after 28 days of use, the image of the remote disappear. The representative said it is normal and the main power needs to turn off every night to clear the memory. Very strange.

My life is stressful and consequently I needed a stress reliever. This chair has supplied that so far. I have experienced some lower back aggravation on my left side on 2 occasions so far over the last 3 weeks. I use the chair every night and sometimes in the morning on the weekends. I've never experienced a problem after a night session, only on a day weekend session. I haven't received an electric bill yet since using the chair and hope it doesn't increase much. I've unplugged the chair when not in use because it looked like the controller was drawing power when the chair had been turned off. This is why I state that the jury is still out on the chair.

I purchased this chair at the recommendation of my pain management doctor who had himself sat in the chair at Brookstone. I use it 20-30 minutes each day to help keep my neck loose. It was hard to find a chair that massaged all the way up my neck, most other chairs went just to the neck. I am pleased with this purchase and the health benefits however it is difficult to use the chair on the manual setting which is what allows you to target a specific area.

Great product for the low price. No bells and whistles, but it does the job. The only thing that I wish is that it would go a little lower and deeper on my lower back. I pick up my infant all day and that's the part of my back that tends to hurt the worst at the end of the day. But it does great on the rest of the back and neck. I love that it reclines to almost flat. We have it beside the bed in our bedroom and I love to watch TV in it for a few minutes right before bedtime.

I have owned so many massage chairs over the last ten years. This OSIM IMEDIC 380 does pretty strong deep tissue neck and back massage which relieves severe chronic pain better than any other massage chair I have owned. IMEDIC is the perfect name for it. The leg and seat air massage is excellent quality too. I am so glad I finally found a massage chair that truly seems designed for those who need fast pain relief.

I went to a local Brookstone for the iDesire machine, but found that the higher-end machine doesn't have as much pressure/strength as this one. So, I ordered this and placed it in the living room. Everyone in the family uses it at least once a day. It's a great buy!

I owned over a dozen massage chairs in the past ten years. Some of them were top of the line with the latest technology, heat, music, talking remote controls etc. They did everything but give a truly deep therapeutic massage.

I have had moderate to severe chronic neck and back pain for about 25 years which became progressively worse in the last five years. It is slightly relieved with monthly nerve block injections, and powerful pain medications. Deep pressure massage along the muscles of my spine also helps a great deal.

I owned some top of the line Sanyo, omega, human touch and Panasonic massage chairs that seemed to be good quality, but lacked the very strong back and neck massage which I needed for the condition I had.

I tried the Brookstone Osim iMedic 380 a year ago and then a few times throughout the year. I needed to get this chair since nothing else compared to the back and neck massage it gives.

I figured that I can do without a talking remote control, music and even a foot massage. I tried all the other Osim massage chairs which are priced much higher. They were nice but also seemed to lack the strong back and neck massage even though they were at least twice the price of the iMedic 380.

We just finally purchased the iMedic 380. I usually feel that I am too heavy for most massage chairs. But the support and comfort of this chair, even just to sit in, seems superior to most other massage chairs.

The strength and excellence of the massage is remarkable because the rollers massage very deeply and slowly along the muscles of the spine. This gives lasting pain relief unlike most other massage chairs.

This iMedic 380 provisionally lowers my pain levels and even seems to feel, as though it may even have some long-lasting effect, if I were to use it more frequently. My wife and I are very happy with the uniqueness of the massage that this iMedic 380 gives.

Why is this chair not heavily advertised all over the world for the amazing chair it is? It is also difficult to understand why it is only half the price of other chairs that seem to have an inferior back massage. Maybe you have to be in severe pain to realize the difference it makes.

I hope the Osim iMedic 380 chair will endure in the marketplace for many years to come.

the chair has many great qualities but the roller is very intense, must sit in the chair to see if roller is to much for your individual taste
