This pen replaces two other glow pens that just didn't cut it. I had a light pen I liked but is no longer made - this one is of similiar design but better construction. The light is bright and the ink is smooth. It comes in several colors but I chose white. One of my previous pens had a light on a flexible arm above the hand ... thus the light was blocked and you couldn't see what you were writing. The other had the lamp in the top of the barrel so the same thing happened. This one has the light in the grip but the plastic around the nib is also clear so it sheds light upon the paper. Used it for the first time the other night and was satisfied.
