This product will let me know when the Koi Pond is cold enough to stop feeding for the winter as Koi fish do not each when temps are below 45 degrees. Serious health issue would occur if fish are fed when their bodies shut down for the winter.

Instantly read the water temperature both inside the house or pool. Kids love it!
Take caution when opening/closing to change battery. Make sure thermometer is in the locked position to prevent any leakage.

Using the monitor with an above ground pool. At times I use both a solar blanket and a heater to warm the water. It's great to be able to view the pool's temperature while in the house. I haven't taken the time to figure out the alarm feature or additional information displays, so I have no comment on that. BUT, I purchased this item to monitor the pool's temperature and it does that GREAT!

This product was easy to put together and place in the pool. I have a solar cover and I was very pleased that the unit was able to transmit the Temperature even with the cover on.This eliminated the arguments about how "cold" or "hot" the water is. It is very reliable and durable. I save on my heater bill as well since I know exactly when to turn the heater on and when to turn it off.

I am able to know the temperature of the water from my kitchen. Must be careful the pressure from filter doesn't push it under water.

The first one quit working after a couple of weeks, but a replacement was sent and the second has worked fine. We have an automatic pool cover and it works fine even when the cover is closed. Great for monitoring the temperature from inside and when the cover is closed. We love this product! We really missed it while we were waiting for the replacement.

This product was easy to put together and place in the pool, some difficulty finding an area in the house that we could place that part of the unit so to keep within the required distance for "reading" the temperature.

Item sometime looses signal for being less than 25 ft apart from each other. But is seems to be with standing the brutal summers here in Las Vegas were te sun usually destroys anything in its path. I have only owned it for just over a month but here that is usually enought to break it.

My dad has the pool, and everday I call him and ask what the temperature is up to. I like warm water. I gave this to him as a present. We had a normal thermometer, but he likes gadgets, and this is great.

Easy to use and dependable. One caveat though is that depending on the location of your skimmer, the monitor may get caught under the lip of the pool and not transmit to the wireless remote.

One real plus is that it also transmits to other common remote temperature stations, so it works with my other stations in my house.

We use this in our pool and the grandchildren like to watch the temperature monitor in the house and we have told them when it gets to a certain degree they can go in the pool.No more constant "can we go in now?".There has been no problem with it in the way when they use the pool either. We really like this product.

This pool temp sensor is great. It only took a few minutes to setup, and it works just as advertised. Now we can see the temp of the pool without having to fish around and find our old floating thermometer. Also nice when you heat the pool, can set alert to let you know when you've reached target temp.

We love the ability to see the pool temperature from inside the house. The gauge seems to register acouple degrees warmer than what it is. It also has some darkness appearing on the pool gauge display (probably from being in the sun all day). An expensive toy, but we like it.

This improved version by Brookstone, seems to have improved in areas to prevent pool (chlorinated) water from invading the electronic, will see as time goes by if this improvements have made this model more reliable.

We've only been using it a couple of weeks but so far so good. Sometimes it loses the signal and you have to press the button so it will find it again. If you don't have a thermostat on your spa/pool heater, this is ideal for when you are trying to achieve a certain temperature. We keep it in the spa so that when it isn't heated, we know what the pool temperature is as well.
