I did a lot of research on pricing and styles before purchasing these sheepskin seat covers from Brookstone for my convertible a few years ago. I even bought some from an auto supply store that I returned due to poor quality. Most were much pricier if they were genuine sheepskin, and the ones that were not genuine tend to shed all over your clothing. The Brookstone seat covers are genuine sheepskin where it matters most, on the front side, where you sit and get the wear and tear. The back of the seat cover is not real sheepskin, (I do not see this mentioned in the description), but it has been no problem with looks or functionality, and I believe that it is a big part of why these sheepskin seat covers are so much more affordable than most, which is fine by me, I would rather save the money, as you can't see or tell the difference at all at the back of the seat. Also I like that the back covers the whole seat, it looks much nicer than some other styles where the back of your seat is not fully covered and there are sometimes straps going across the back of the seat. The free headrest cover is also a great value, usually you have to pay for those separately and they cost about [$]each. Also, the real sheepskin on the seat resists stains, and liquids do not seep through, which has been great for the occasional coffee spill, and for all of the exposure and dirt that they get from the open air (convertible). My sheepskin seat covers always seem to look clean, whereas my back seats, which are beige fabric, and do not have sheepskin covers tend to get dirty really easily from soot and dirt in the open air.My car has side airbags in the seats. I talked with my mechanic, and after discussing where the airbag extends to when it pops, I cut a long slit, and then a small cross slit in the sheepskin where the airbag would blow, and then put a piece of tape behind it. It doesn't look bad at all, I don't notice it, however, this in probably because my seats and the covers are both beige and they match. Buying a custom sheepskin seat cover for my car with the airbag holes already cut in would have cost me several hundred more dollars, and I did not want to spend that much.People compliment how nice my seat covers are all the time, they look very classy, and it seems that people have the impression that they must have cost me a lot of money.I have had these seat covers for about 4 years and love them. They keep me warm on cool days, and keep my seats cooler on hot days. I am currently buying a replacement seat cover for my driver's side - I have worn one of the sides a little thin from the seatbelt rubbing on it, and after sitting on it with the seat warmer on for years, the part of the sheepskin that I sit on is getting flat and not as plush. The passenger side that gets used a lot less still looks great. I could choose not to replace the driver's side seat cover and just keep the one I have, and maybe brush it out a little - it doesn't look bad yet - but I want to get a new one now, just in case Brookstone stops selling them in the future when I really want to get a new one. I like these seat covers so much that it is worth being proactive on a replacement. I highly recommend them.

I'm REALLY surprised the fact that these aren't FULLY sheepskin car seat covers hasn't been brought up by most of the reviewers here, although its implied in the item description. Yes, sheepskin is used on the front of both the seat and headrest, but dyed-to-match acrylic plush is used on the backs of both, and the skirt of the seat...which you can plainly see when looking at the insides of both pieces. I'm sure they went this route because not only is acrylic plush much cheaper, but because it's a knit, it stretches for easier installation. Also, the sheepskin used is sewn in small pieces and not a full pelt, which further cheapens the look. They did do a real nice job of color matching the acrylic plush to the sheepskin, so that's a plus! How do I know all of this stuff? I work with different fabrics all day. For the price, these are OK car seat covers...but NOT fully sheepskin and not a huge bargain!

Comments about Sheepskin Seat Cover:
item was great BUT shipping was horrible. the items came in crushed - flimsly boxes. the items were just shoved in the boxes, no packaging at all, not even in a plastic bag. looks like the items weren't even new-- because of this i would NEVER order from brookstone again.

Comments about Sheepskin Seat Cover:
I had a 100% sheepskin seat cover I bought 5 years ago that was amazing, but after 5 years it needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, the company no longer makes car seat covers, so I bought one from Brookstone. The difference in the quality of the two was night and day. The Brookstone cover was thin, itchy and shed like crazy. The fibers keep getting caught in my eyes. The feel of the seat cover feels 100% synthetic, whereas my original cover felt plush and very authentic. I wanted to return it, but I had to make a cut on the side to accommodate my seat belt guide.

Comments about Sheepskin Seat Cover:
We love the covers BUT it was sold as a 4 piece set, (2 seat and backrest covers and 2 head rest covers as shown in the pictures. Our order lacked one headrest piece. We called about it and were told that it was not possible to obtain the missing cover.
That is unacceptable. It is ugly.
