The mattress I replaced was a high end Stearns and Foster and approx 8 years old. I generally don't buy a mattress to get 20 years out of it. I typically find, regardless of what kind, I will replace between 6 and 10 years. It's just not worth it to me to sacrifice sleep and health to try and get max years out of a mattress.

This was my first venture into a foam mattress. I decided to go with the Termpurpedic brand and in the end decided on the Rhapsody. I was also considering the Deluxe. The Rhapsody seemed firmer in the store so I was a little concerned with that.

In the end this was the only mattress I bought new that I had a great sleep on first night. Usually it takes 30 days or so to break in or get used to it. This bed just gets better and better. I hope it lasts and doesn't form permenant impressions.

It really provides a great sleep and it's hard to leave in the morning. It does get a little hot but not a big deal.

At this point, 2 months out, it's one of the best purchases I've ever made.

i did extensive research before buying another bed. I had my old bed for about 6 years and it was sqeeky and no support. I hated it! however, i knew that i didnt want to invest in another bed that had coils, so my coices was tempur and select comfort. To be fair i never laid on select comfort but i saw so many people say the air would go out of the bed at some point and its just too electrical for me. I went in several stores and laid on a few tempur beds and absolutely LOVED the rhapsody!!!! I dont have back problems but the old bed gave me cramps and i wasnt sleeping good so i wanted this bed!!! it's like the baby bear bed in the story "just right". not too hard and not too soft. i wake up refreshed even if i only have a few hours of sleep. I have several people lay on the bed and everyone loves it. My mom just went and brought her a rhapsody. i gave it 4 stars i wish i could have given it 4 1/2 only taking a half of star because the bed can get hot with thick blankets on top of you. but not a major issue. as far as smell goes i had the smell for only two days and it went away.

We love this bed. This is the best mattress we have ever owned. My husband within a week of using this bed no longer has to get up in the morning and crack his back.

We've had a Rhapsody mattress for 14 months and it has developed "valleys" where we lay in it now. We were waking up every morning with back pain after about 1 year. We would like our money back as we bought it under the pretense that this would not happen. Tempurepedic refusing to satisfy us. Worst product I've ever owned. Does not live up to the advertising lies. We quit sleeping on it and our back pain is going away.

This bed provides an excellent sleep source with no learning curve! Adjustment time is nonexsistent, first night was just as good as the rest. I have discovered a major problem: in winter I say sleeping on my Tempur-Pedic mattress is like sleeping on a slab of marble. I have to wait for my husband to warm it up and then snuggle as close to him as I can until I adjust and the mattress adjusts. Then it is "solid comfort" all the way. (We keep our house cool, which may be why in winter it is so cold in that bed at first.)

You will need to get accustomed to the slight firmness, but it is the best bed, I have ever owned. It helps my back, snoring, and provides a restful sleep. I get a better night’s sleep. Worth all the money!

This is a wonderful mattress. Caution! Be sure to buy also the foundation for this mattress! The ad wasn't clear and we had to order the foundation separately and wait for it to arrive. Also, be sure to only buy the mattress cover from Tempur-pedic. It is important or you won't get the full benefit of the mattress. We absolutely love it!
