I originally got this item for my father, who has vision problems and constantly misplaces his keys. Now, I'm hoping that he will manage to keep the remote somewhere memorable. :) The only thing that is unknown so far is battery life. If the batteries need to be replaced more than every few months, it might lessen the impact of the device (since, let's face it, nobody enjoys remembering to change batteries). But, so far, it performs very well, and I'd recommend it. The range is good. My father has a very big house, and he's able to find his keys, even if they are located at the far end of his house. If you tend to lose your keys, attach the fob to your keyring, and put the remote in a safe place. You will save a lot of precious time.

This is a good idea and it does what it is supposed to! Would be better if there were two transmitters, so that I can keep one at home and one at the office or in the car in case the keys get lost while away from home. Would also be better if the keychain alarm were a little smaller, but all in all it's a good product.

After spending time searching for my set of keys, I have finally found a way to save lots of search time by using the Smart Find key tracker. It is small and lightweight, so it doesn't weigh down my set of keys. With one push on the button,the alarm sounds therefore making finding keys easier. Thank you for helping solve a recurring problem.

I often loose my keys. Last year I forever lost a set in my own yard or house. Maybe the cats ate them. Anyway, I have been fearful of doing so again. I hooked my keyfinder to my purse where I can't loose it. And now I can find my keys with a press of a button. :)

I got this for my husband for Christmas this year and he loves it! He uses it every other day to find his keys. He always asked me where they were and we'd spend 10 minutes sometimes looking for them and trying to remember where he last had them. Now he just uses his key finder to locate them and it hasn't let us down yet!!

Works great if keys are in the house and not under the sofa or in the bed. It's not loud enough to find if it's covered.

My father frequently loses his key. Because he has hearing loss, these devices have never been loud enough. He can hear this one! It's a gift he'll use and really likes.

This item will help my wife out a great deal! The only thing (very minor) is that you need to make sure you find all of the tabs that block the batteries from connecting. We had to open and reclose both units twice to get them all. (Again, not a big deal at all!) Great Product!

The device does work although you have to hold the transmitter button down and wait a few seconds for the receiver to start beeping. Not sure how long the batteries will last. It is rather expensive compared to similar electronic items.

We haven't used it yet, but we plan to edit this once we move- we are looking forward to testing the range once we move to a 2 story home. I've read previous reviews here to believe it is a good product- we'll see.

I bought this for my mother as a Christmas present. She is always losing her keys. So far, on the practice runs, she has been able to detect them throughout the house.

My partner kept losing his keys in the house. We'd be late to go somewhere and he would be scouring the house looking for his keys. Now, we hang the button part of it by the front door. If he can't find his keys, he walks through the house pressing the button until he finds them. The beeping is at a good volume and it has a good range as well. It's about the size of a car lock/unlock device you normally have on your keyring. You do have to open both parts and it requires a very small screwdriver to do so. I happened to have one so it wasn't a problem for me. Overall, it was a great buy and I would recommend it for those who tend to lose their keys.

It is too bad the base unit isn't just mounted somewhere permanently. My young nephew found it hanging from my door and took it to play with it and it took me two weeks to find it. What is the point if the base usnit finds the keys and you can't find the base unit! :-) From now on it is going to be glued to the ceiling!

The key finder works better than i ever expected. It is loud and easy to find. I gave it to my mom as a gift after she lost her keys and had to pay 300 dollars to get new ones. The best thing about this product is the range you can find your key anywhere.

I purchased the key finder for my parents. My father is living with progressive dementia and loses his keys daily. My mother is not only his partner, but also his caretaker ,and the daily frustration of emotional searches for the important keys takes a toll on both of them. Another good use is to "page"my Dad using the keyfinder signal.
Sending the key finder to older parents in another state is risky when sending an unfamiliar tech product. Setting this up was a no brainer and assured their use of the product.

I bought this product, because I am tired of eveyone losing our remote to the TV. It is a little bulky for this purpose, but I simply taped the receiver end to the back of the remote. Now when no one can find it, we simply press a button and it beeps. We simply keep the remote hanging with our keys so we never lose it. It would be cool if they could change it a little to work better for this purpose, but it works fine for us!!!

Great for the person who occasionally loses his/her keys in a relatively predictable location (e.g. kitchen). Does not work reliably at long distances (80 feet is stretching it).
