I daily check a 500,00 gallon enclosed water reservoir. For years I was limited to skimming what I could reach with a 10' net from the center walkway. Now if I see anything floating on the surface out of my reach, I launch the JET NET! It is absolutely perfect for gathing floatables in all areas of the reservoir. And I get paid to "work" with it! I'm always on the lookout for out-of-reach things to collect in there. And the net empties very easily. JET NET is the perfect answer to my needs.
My husband thinks it is great to sit and steer this boat that gathers up leaves however I am to busy to do that and wish it had an automatic setting to let it work itself like the pool vac. It did not say it did have one, just a feature I wish it had
Could use a second battery. The battery charger does not shut off and if you forget to remove the pack from the charger after 4 hours the battery pack get extremely hot. The springs in the controller are fairly stiff and after approximately 15-20 minutes my thumbs get a little sore. Also the two motors do not drive at the same rate, so you have to continually move the controls to adjust for the difference when your trying to go straight. Other than that it works great, is fun, and collects more debris in 20 minutes than my pond skimmer does all day. The reason I bought this is my pond, 45x75 feet, is surrounded by trees and gets a ton of debris in it. The koi don't seem to mind either.
Much easier and more fun to use than a regular hand skimmer
easy to use, convenient, fun, cleans pool easily
It's slower than cleaning the pool by hand but much more fun. It could be more powerful and have a larger net so it didn't have to be emptied so often but it does the job.
IT'S EASY TO WORK AND PLAY WITH AT THE SAME TIME
It's a fun toy to clean the pool with. It's a huge hit with the kids!
Bought this as a Father's Day gift for my husband. He's had fun with it and our boys love watching it race around the pool.
no one likes to skim the pool...now its fun...
This is more than a toy, it is a very efficient way to remove all floating debris from the pool. It will save your back compared to manual skimmers, and it is fun enough that the kids will want to skim the pool for you without being asked! The battery lasts long enough to completely skim a very large pool, but the process of recharging it is somewhat cumbersome.

To clean the leaves and bugs that float in my pool.

The jet net is a well designed catamaran style boat with radio control that has a net between the two hulls for cleaning a swimming pool of floating debris and leaves. It is fun to operate and does a decent job of scooping up in the pool. The radio control never worked all that well, however, even with fresh batteries and a good healthy overnight charge on the boat battery. The power was sufficient but it always hesitated, as if some electrical connector inside was not making positive contact. After about two months the cord on the charger gave out and the whole battery charger had a melt down (literally melted the case). If the boat had responded well and/or the battery charger had been built as durably as the boat, I'd rate a full five stars. It's fun, but at this price I expect more than a couple of hiccupping pool cleaning sessions before chortling into a full seizure.

This really does the job skimming the pool and everyone enjoys using it. It's a win-win situation.

It's bigger than I thought it would be. The net goes in and comes out really easily, and the mesh is very fine enough to pick up even tiny debris. It's not very fast though. "Powerful twin motors", is a little misleading. It's meant to clean the pool in a fun way, but it's not fast like a racer boat, wouldn't be much fun in a lake or anything, but you can run it without the net if desired! We figured a way to have it carry drinks and snacks to us!
The boat itself is quite loud to operate and doesn't have a long range on the radio controller. You pretty much have to be standing right next to the pool. I figured a way to get the antenna on the boat to stand straight up in the air (I rigged it through the little toy driver's arms) because it has even less range if it drags behind the boat or even hangs over the front.
The controller piece is very toy-like, cheap plastic, but it seems to work fine! There are 2 propellers on the boat. By using one or the other or a combination of reverse and forward, you can tightly control the direction of the boat with a little practice. It doesn't pick up debris in corners or even right along the very edge of the pool, but the wake produced by the propellers stir things up so that leaves may move away from the side and you can get them the next time around. The front of the boat has these little wheels so that when it runs into the side of the pool, it doesn't scrape along the side, it rolls.
It has a removable, rechargeable battery pack for the boat. I guess that's good that you don't have to pay for batteries all the time, but then you have to plan ahead to make sure it's charged and ready, and if it dies, you're done for the next 4 hours until it recharges. I wonder if one can purchase a second, back-up battery pack. The hand controller uses a disposable 9-volt, it comes with 1 in the box.
In general, I really like it. It does what my regular skimmer does, but in a more entertaining way and you don't have to stop and shake the net clean all the time like I do with my skimmer, because it's deeper and holds the leaves. I usually just have to empty it at the end of the session. The pool isn't immaculate but it's significantly improved and ready for swimming!
