This massager is wonderful. I rest my head on it and get a wonderful massage on my neck and shoulders. I also lay on my stomach and put it on my back. It puts me right to sleep. Would highly recommend.
Easy to use and excellent performance !
I have been geting headaches from the tension in my neck and shoulders. Daily use of this massage pillow has really helped ease the pain in these muscles- it works great!
I have neck pain and tension. It has helped to relieve my pain. It has helped more than chiropractor treatments.
You can use it when you have a headache, need to relax, or just for fun! However, it doesn't get to places like your head and you might have to turn your head by yourself to get it to massage certain places. Also, its light color and the delicate suede material make it get dirty really easily.
It's wonderful for relieving headaches. Like a miracle!
I just received this yesterday and I can't wait to get home from work and use it again! Admittedly, it takes a few minutes to get used to but once you find a comfortable intensity and position it truly does simulate human hands. After several minutes of use I naturally began breathing very deeply from the level of relaxation I had reached and from the relief from my chronic neck and back pain. I recently got fed up and spent hundreds of dollars trying to find relief in doctors, medications and gadgets with NO RESULT. Trying this massager was the last resort before exploring a need for really big dollar measures like surgery. And it works! It is the only thing I have found that loosens up my stiff muscles. And, unlike human hands it never gets tired, complains or charges you extra! After suffering for years from debilitating knots and more recently numbness and tingling...one use of the massager has changed how I feel! I made my skeptical husband try it and now I know we will be fighting over it enough that I may buy another. Get one today! You won't regret the cost. For the record, my husband is in heavy construction at 41 years of age and I sit at a computer 40 hours a week in constant pain. I can't recommend this product enough.
I have severe tension problems in my head, neck, shoulders and back. This pillow is a great solution to my problem of needing regular massages for general maintenance. The cost is definitely worth it -- for the price of one real massage, you can get a something that can help you as often as you need it. The only real drawback is the limited function; my neck is just a little bit small for the shape of the massager, so I have to contort myself just a bit in order to get the massage on the sides of my neck. However, I consider this a small price to pay for an overall helpful device.
Nice and relaxing
Relieving stress after a long, hard work day. Eases the neck and shoulder area for a relaxing massage.
Its ok. not quite what i had in mind but ok. The weight of the transformer is to the point of breaking a toe if you drop it and to get it to stay in your wall can be a trick.
its great
Great on any chair! Transfers easily to car seat! Sometimes I put it on my bed!
This was a gift for my athletic daughter who has had shoulder problems for many years. She loves it; says it's the first of many buys that actually does the trick and she can't wait to use it after a long day at work or as a followup to her workout. With such a great recommendation, of course her dad and I are getting one for ourselves.
received this as a gift, wouldn't have thought about buying it on my own, but it is better than I could have dreamed. relieves all the tension in my neck. Highly recommend - can't say enough good about it. Do yourself a favor and try it.
I use this at night to get to the areas on my neck that hands find too challenging and fatiguing. I lay on the floor near the wood stove, pillows propping up my head and under the legs and let it do it's work for 10 mins. or so until I'm sleeping.AHHHH
I work long hours on a computer and at a drawing table...and I have a few family members who love drama. The stress of all this goes right to my neck. Before I get out of bed I slip the massager under my head. It feels like heaven. It takes out muscle knots and I sware it clears my neck arteries because my vision clears immediately. It really improves my quality of life...wouldn't want to be without it!
It's just wonderful. The firm massaging feels so GREAT on your tense muscles. Feels like a masseuse is working on you. Might get the back massager next.
The Shiatsu Massage Pillow has been a life-saver for me. I have a degenerative back problem in which the vertebra has collapsed onto a nerve in the Lumbar Spine, L5 S1, which causes me a great deal of pain and tingling down my legs...spine surgery is scheduled for January 14, 2008. I have a bulging disc in my Cervical Spine. I also have pain in my feet...all from years of dancing. Sleep has been a problem because of my back. This massage machine is a gift to me because it meets my needs; physically, mentally, and spiritually. Thank you [...]
Great at loosening tense muscles - or for headaches. You may experience tenderness in the neck area the next day after use.
Helps neck/shoulder pain from extreme muscle tension - which always results in a migraine. If I use the machine soon enough, I can head off a serious migraine. Many thanks! I first saw this item in 1988 at Los Angeles' Invention Convention and thought it was great then, too!!
I was experiencing neuralgia (numbness)in my "trap" area, but after two (2) days all discomfort went away. I was able to reverse the unit so I could massage between my shoulder blades and work upward. I highly reccomend this product.

I find this product great for the neck muscles and helps to relieve headaches. Unfortunately, I find it a bit bulky and uncomfortable on my back.
I bought this massage pillow and after 8-10 hours of work I'm using it for 15-20 minutes and I feel great! I'm about to order 1 more for my mom.
This is a great product for your money. It is a great way to relax after a long day at work or chasing kids. Even better is it's ability to help stop migraines. Whenever I felt one come on I would go lie down and let the pillow massage my neck and relax my muscles. The only downside is the limited movement of the nodes. To fully massage all the areas on your neck you might need you have to move your head around. All in all though it does a great job!
I use it in the morning before I go to work and while watching tv at night to relax. It's much better than trying to find someone to massage your neck for you!
Can feel a bit uncomfortable while using it (a lot of pressure at times), but the end result and feeling in your neck is well worth it. Can take time to get used to the pressure points on your neck. Works well to stretch your neck
felt great on the neck, but it is not easily used for the back
After trying out one of these pillows for a scant 2 minutes in a Brookstone mall store, the experience stayed with me until I finally gave in and ordered one. I've never regretted the purchase, and got one for my mother as well. I don't use the pillow on a chair, as pictured, but instead prefer to lie against it, usually in bed but also on the floor. It's not as comfortable on the floor, but the knobs are excellent at targeting stressed areas on either side of the spine -- I focus on my lower back and neck. The only drawback is that the buttons designed to adjust the width between the massaging knobs don't seem to make a difference, so this might not be a great fit for those with especially large or small frames.
This thing is uncomfortable and not very useful. I could get a better massage from an Iron Maiden.
Better than the old machines that were hard to lie on. Works well. I'd love to see a product that had adjustable width so you could get your neck just right. But this is not bad.
I had my hopes set on this product because my job is very stressful and I tend to get a lot of tension headaches. While it does hit the appropriate muscles I'm not sure what's more painful the headache or the massager. It's a lot of money for what you get.

[...] has outdid themselves. I'M IN LOVE !!!!!!!! If you suffer from migraine headaches this pillow is perfect for massaging the lower neck, and upper back. If I can find a woman to do this I'll be married tomorrow!!!!!
