My husband had sore back muscles, and this is great for massages. Just be careful not to tilt the machine too much to the side or it can pinch fatty areas inbetween the vibrating knobs and the edges of the machine.

The only massager I have seen with an open grip handle so it is much easier to hold and not as heavy as most massagers.

I´m a PMR specialist that practices medical Acupuncture. I usually apply it to patients prior to a treatment, especially the first time to help them relax. I also use it after a treatment instead of a friction rub. Patients love it. I´ve also used it at home with the hubby or he´s used it on me after a long day at work, it´s great!! The only con is it is so compact that it is a little difficult to take out of the bag.

My husband loves his new super powerful massager. He loves a great neck and shoulder massage while watching T.V. Our kids love it too. And I love it too but on a lower setting!
I had purchased 2 other massagers but they were not powerful enough until my husband pointed this one out to me in a store awhile back. I got it for him later for Valentines Day. Thanks.
I tried this product out over a year ago. I wanted it then, but my husband felt it was too expensive. I didn't forget, and this year I purchased one for my husband at Christmas....

I bought this for my husband for Christmas (kind of for me too!). We love it. Every night we each get a "massage" and no one whines about giving it. I like the 5 speeds for different body parts. I don't care for the programmed massages but I would definitely recommend this product to everyone.

I have only used it a short time, but I'm impressed. I would recommend it. You get what you pay for. If you need heavy duty, you should spend the money.

This was one of the best Christmas gifts that I have received in a long while.
It sure comes in handy after a long day at work; massaging the day away in just 20 minutes.
I love it!
The one greatest plus is this massager works the intended muscles, FAST and not the person operating the massager, all of the vibration works directly into the muscles and not down the handle into the one operating the unit.

Pros:
Fantastic product & the best I have used. Deep penetrating vibrations get to the hardest spots on the body, leaving you glowing comfortably.
Cons:
Occasionally, depending on the angle of pressure, the internal vibrating mechanism contacts the plastic outer shell and rattles loudly. This disturbs the patient & ruins ambiance.
The buttons are placed in a silly location and are touch-sensitive, so often you inadvertantly change the program, speed or simply turn it off. Irritating & disturbs continuance.

this is a great unit; we've had several. First one failed after two years of regular use. Couldn't really complain, but the next ones failed after just over a year. Disappointing thing is that the same part failed, and no parts are available. Our next massager won't be a Max.

My chiro has a fabulous massager that he uses before an adjustment. Problem is, it's over $1,000! I'd given up on getting one for home use until I saw this. Not really expecting it to be the same as the pro's, I was plesantly surprized by it's effectiveness. Really improves circulation and loosens tight spots well in a minimal amount of time. Great value.

My husband is 6'4" and 300lbs and it takes a lot of power to reach the deep tissue pain he feels on his back. We wanted to get something that is powerful but easy and light enough for him to hold for a period of time. We've researched online and finally decided to try this one. The rpm choices is great and it has enough power for him and the tension and pain on his back eased up after 30 minutes of using the percussion massager.
I have read that some people have trouble with their units after a time, we haven't had any problems so far (we've had the unit for a month now).

This is an incredible hand held massager. I am a massage therapist and purchased this for my husband. I love to have it used on me and my husband says it does almost as good a job at relieving muscle tension as my massages. It is very comfortable to use and the 5 speeds make it very versatile. The only downside is if you should use it for longer than 15 minutes it can overheat and you will need to allow it to sit for a while before you can use it again.

My significant other and I both have pretty bad back pain -- lots of knots and tense muscles, especially after sitting in front of a computer all day. This massager has significantly improved our quality of life--it's very intense and the percussion really gets into the tight muscles. I would say using this daily would be the equivalent of getting a professional massage once a week. Love it to death.

My tension tends to go to my lower back, where I get muscle knots the size of golf balls. This device breaks those down and provides a very relaxing experience, allowing me to sleep and move freely without pain.

I had an old Brookstone massager that I called the "mondo" massager. When it finally bit the dust, I was heartbroken. But this new model is 10,000 times better! Even though it cost more than twice as much, it's WAY worth it. Where with the old massager, it would take 30 minutes or more to relieve muscle tension, with this new massager it takes LESS THAN 5 MINUTES!! And it doesn't hurt at all, very gentle. Easy to handle, not at all awkward or heavy for the person giving the massage. And it's QUIET! I can't BELIEVE how brilliant this machine is! I just LOVE it!

The only way this item could be better is if it radiated infrared heat. I use mine daily. Makes a great gift too.

this is a good machine, almost as good as the professional massagers. but it died after 11 months of regular use. and because i could not find my receipt, i have no recourse. [...]after spending [$], i'd like it to last a while longer...

I tend to get incredible tighness in my neck & shoulders & this thing really does a great job!!
I feel much better & looser after using it for a few minutes. I thought only my phsical therapist could give me that kind of relief but I was wrong. I just got mine but it has paid for itself already.

I'm surprised no one has reviewed this yet. I've had mine for 3 years and it still works as well as it did the day I bought it. It was well built and worth the price. Don't let the price scare you off. It scared me a little, but it's more than paid for itself in the 3 years I've had it because of all the insurance deductibles I would have paid out by now to see a physical therapist or all the money and tips I would have had to shell out for a massage therapist. Every once in awhile, my back muscles get so painful that I can't even stand up straight. I just use this machine when my back gets sore and it does help a lot! It is fairly easy to use but some may find it to be slightly heavy because it is so durable and well-built.
